Broken elevator but comfortable stay

The elevator was broke and we were on the 10th floor. The hotel was full too. So waiting for the one good elevator took forever. The pool was smaller than we thought in the pictures. The breakfest was very good. And staff was friendly though. The Beds were very comfortable.

You pay for convenience only. The rooms are NOT as clean as they should/could be, which is terrible because that just means the cleaning staff is lazy. My showers have all been dirty but my linen looks/smells clean. My toilet was dirty but there was brand (1-ply) toilet paper. Again, no flat surface was wiped but the sink, so it’s just as clean as a Motel 6 with a heftier price tag. Also, they don’t return funds if you check out earlier AND it’s $15/day plus taxes for parking. I’ve never seen the pool, gym, or breakfast (it starts after 7a but I always was gone before seeing or tasting.

I reserved and paid extra for a “high-floor” room which was marketed as floor-to-ceiling windows in a corner room. Have stayed here many times over the last few years, and chose this type of room vs other rooms due to the “high-floor with floor to ceiling window views (as marketed in pix on Expedia and their own site). Unfortunately , the room assigned has the smallest window/view I’ve ever had at a hotel. When checking in (on a Thursday staying for one night no less), they “couldn’t move me to another room due to cleaning.” Was really bummed, and will definitely reconsider staying here again, just due to the way it was handled.
