The live music is loud until midnight every night. The ECO TAX, which cost almost 300 USD, was unexpected and felt like a scam. The hotel MRG explained to me that we have to pay the tax. I didn't want to check out and find another place. I'm not going back to the Arena.

Pros: Location, staff service at bar is top and the layout of the hotel, really recommend the suite, very spacious. Cons: Early noise by staff like cleaning public areas, maintenance, recommend doing those after 9 or 10 am. Check out at 11AM is crazy, had to leave the room even though I had to depart the island until 1PM. Other than that, recommend the place.

If you like sleep - stay somewhere else. There is a rooftop bar and the music is so loud it was like trying to go to sleep at a rave. Party people walked up and down to the roof and we could hear it all. Then in the morning the boutique next door played super loud music at 8 am. So we had very poor sleep every night. It was stressful. The place itself it’s pleasing but the noise level is a complete dealbreaker for us. And btw - we were staying in the back of building where it was more “quiet”.

Great place !

Pleasant staff, great location and the room was great. Comfortable beds and lovely and clean. Best experience in Holbox we’ve had by far. Highly recommended and we’re rebooking very very soon. See you in May !

Great value but could use some clean-up

The main selling point here is value. This hotel offered a nicer and bigger room, faster wifi and warmer shower than Amaite, which is 2 blocks down on the beach and costs 5X what this hotel costs. Location is on the central plaza, which can get a little noisy. There's no beach but its only a couple of minutes away and you can grab a lounger in one of a few dayclubs. The main issue I had with the hotel was the complete lack of amenities (they don't even have an iron) and the fact that I had to kill a couple of smaller cockroaches in my room. Other than that - great.

It’s ok considering other options. It’s on the main road, kind of noisy. Staff is super friendly, facilities could use an updating. Also, the room smells. It’s incredible how many hotels in this area have a musty smell, I did not leave my clothes on the closet for this reason.

I love the staff and location. I booked this hotel because of the rooftop bar ambience, but the bar was closed due to covid. The pool was also closed. I wish that the shower had some shampoo and conditioner and the beds had a blanket.

Holbox

Decent hotel. Located not too far from restuarants. It would help if the hotel included the golf cart taxi pick up/drop off for guest. Taxi people increased the prices to whatever they wanted so it wasn't the same price.

Central hotel in Holbox

The hotel is really nice with good size rooms. It’s very centrally located. There is a rooftop bar that is really cozy however be aware that there is very loud music during the evenings. I was at the floor most far away from the rooftop and the music was still very loud in my room. Also there are no hot water but I think that is very normal for the island. Other than that I would recommend staying here.

This is our favorite place to stay in Holbox. Right downtown, 2 blocks from the beach. Get a room with a balcony facing town. I’m writing this from an all inclusive resort in puerto morales wishing I was back in Holbox at the arena. The breakfast place 2 doors down is great. Love love love Hotel arena!

Nice little hotel, spacious suite, all you need for a hotel in Holbox, nice staff and good location in the center of the town. Only thing missing is a restaurant to have breakfast but there are plenty of restaurants nearby!

Holbox Vacation.

Great location. We have stayed at this location before. Highly recommended!! You are in the middle of town square. Best view from pool at the 3rd floor. Staff is very friendly and very clean comfortable rooms.
