Sands of Islamorado is a hidden gem. It is a very well maintained piece of Americana. Rooms are updated, spacious and very clean. The pool / lounging area is very well maintained. Got there late and did not meet staff but you can tell they take pride. This was my first time actually stopping in the Keys on the way to Key West and was not let down. Next trip will include several nights at the Sands of Islamorado.

I never had any direct interaction with staff, as none of my calls were returned. After some difficulty, I was eventually able to locate the key on my own. I went to sleep feeling uneasy about the parking situation, which was never clarified. Additionally, the bed felt unstable and uncomfortable.
