Spectacular view

Our extended family of 12 stayed here for 5 nights while visiting Yellowstone. The solitude, view and drive were well worth avoiding the congestion of staying in West Yellowstone. Some very helpful surprise amenities included bear spray, two large coolers, and plenty of ice packs. We had to spread out the showers to make the hot water last, but that worked just fine for us.

Perfection!

This place is amazing! Great kitchen, bbq available, sauna and hot tub on front deck!! We had amazing times over the pool table downstairs. It’s an awesome place to gather with friends/family. But also space to escape the mayhem if you need to. Totally want to come back in the summer!!!

Inaccessible Home Due to Conditions

When we arrived, it had been snowing the previous week and the day of arrival. It was clear that the homes private access Road and driveway had not been plowed this day or recently. In addition, the steps leading to the home, were not cleared. This home could only be accessed with a 4 x 4 vehicle, which we did not have and was not prepped for when making the reservation. While the host was communicative it was a little help to us as we could not access the home, was not sure when plowing or snow removal would take place and had to pivot and go somewhere else. The home itself seemed nice, but there was a lot of construction debris in and around the home. We requested a refund due to the circumstances, but we’re slightly denied.

An honest review... We were advised that there was a sauna being built on the deck and may not be done when we arrived, which was fine. When we did arrive there was a 1/2 finished sauna on the deck, along with other building materials on the deck and below. Also on the deck was a hot tub that was not set up. It was to be done the next day and things cleaned up but they were not. The washing machine also did not work.. The picture also make it look like it stands alone but there are other houses around. It was evident we had to find another place so we left this property and found another at our own expense. We advised the manager of this and he said he was looking onto getting our money back. No luck on that and he no longer responds to our texts.. We are still waiting to hear back from VRBO about getting our money back. Caveat Emptor on this one folks. Look around a bit...

A bit less than expected

There were several disappointments: Beds in loft were twins, not queen size ... had to double up kids in the twin! (We were assured by the host that 14 could fit), washer would not complete the spin cycle - had to be manually turned on and off to empty (needs repair); With kids and limited towels (9 for 14 people!), this was a problem; king bed (about 3' high) required a step stool to get onto (none provided); fireplaces and TV's did not work; fire extinguisher installed with 1" screws and fell off the wall and onto a child's foot; coffee pot did not fit the coffee maker - required a saucer to raise level to enable dripping (discovered when coffee ran all over the counter); router-modem cumbersome to set up; upstairs window locks broken; microwave door handle broken and distance to Yellowstone, while less than an hour, was more than "minutes away" (maybe an more accurate number would help?). Children could not play outside ... "Yard" overrun with weeds (unlike photo provided). Sauna and hot tub, placed in front of sliders, block views. Deck badly needs repainting. On some positive notes, the beds were comfortable, the views, if one stood (no deck furniture) in front of the newly added sauna and hot tub, were spectacular, the dishwasher worked and there were sufficient dishes, silverware, pots, etc. as we did not prepare complicated meals! Dark skies provided good heavenly viewing if one wanted to stand out there.

Family Trip visiting Yellowstone National Park

We had a great family vacation with our kids and grandkids. The views of Henry's Lake and the mountains are absolutely beautiful from the house and deck. The house was private and comfortable with plenty of space for all 10 of us. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of towels for our use. The you tube videos showing us how to work everything was a nice touch. And lastly, the grandkids had a great time trying to catch the ground squirrels (with no luck) that were all around the property. The owner/manager was very responsive, and we would stay again.

Wonderful week in Island Park.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. Our family of seven adults and a one-year-old enjoyed our stay. We made this our base camp for a week in YNP and Tetons. The view of Henry's Lake was amazing. We were able to see the Tetons on several of the days we stayed. The trip to the west gate took about 15-20 minutes, which made it a convenient visit to YNP. The drive to the Tetons took about 2.5 hours but was stunning. The pictures do not do this house justice. It had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Everyone had plenty of private space and space to be together. We saw many wildlife in the park and moose across the street at Henry's Lake. If we return to the area, we will stay here again.

Great Views

We loved the cabin, beautifully done. My husband and I stayed in the large upstairs bedroom. There was no closets or anywhere to put our clothes. Those that had closets only had 2 hangers in them. We did have to buy bath soap as there were only little hand dispenser soaps. The kitchen was well stocked. There were 5 of us and only 3 chairs to sit on the deck in. We had a wonderful stay!

Fabulous place

My family & I had a wonderful time! We had plenty of room for 7 adults, a teenager, a 6 year old & 3 year old. The house is exactly as pictured. There were ground squirrels in the yard every morning. We had a prong horn antelope one morning & fox one morning & one evening. We could see the Grand Tetons twice thanks the clear mornings. Would definitely enjoy & want to stay again. Perfect spot for going to the West Yellowstone gate.

Family trip

This was the perfect cabin for our family vacation ❤️. Well appointed with everything you need for your stay. The bedrooms are very spacious with comfortable beds and everyone had their own bedroom. A full bathroom on each floor was a pleasant convenience. The views are incredible and we had an antelope come visit everyday. The pool table was a hit with the kids, who had daily competitions. The drive to Yellowstone was very easy and quick. We were able to see a Rodeo close by, took the kids fishing at Stoddard Mills pond caught lots of fish C & R and the adults were able to fish the river close by. You know the cabin was a hit when the family is planning their next years trip while still there.. Happy memories were made for sure...

Great for large groups and families

Nice, comfortable, roomy and beautiful view of Henry's Lake. This house lived up to the majority of our expectations, and it was a perfect launch point for our Yellowstone explorations. Wonderful to come back to after a full day in the park - and we made full use of the pool table! Kitchen was well appointed with dinnerware, cookware, condiments and key ingredients. Laundry room was also stocked with everything we needed for multiple wash loads.

Yellowstone Family Trip April 27-May 1st 2023

Wow is the best way to summarize this house. The views were better in person than in the pictures. The beds were super comfortable, the layout of the home was amazing, we had my husband myself and our 5 sons and everyone had their space. The water pressure was great ( this always matters to me so felt I’d mention it) we had nightly pool tournaments with our two oldest sons (teens)…. My 5 and 8 year old had fun playing hide and seek and they even had a high chair and pack and play for our 1 year old. The drive to the park was very easy and maybe 15-20 minutes. We did have trouble maintaining a good temp as it got hot in the night times. I’d suggest some better locking mechanism for doors and windows as this was a concern. But again the house was amazing, our trip was better than I had hoped. If you are reading this review trying to decide which house, this is the one…àlso on clear days you can even see the Grand Tetons from the front porch. I also need to mention we use Vrbo 1-2 times a year and this was the only house we have ever stayed in that had the guests completely set up with items like toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap laundry, etc.. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Cabin was just what we needed

Our extended family consisting of 11 adults booked this cabin for our trip to Yellowstone. The cabin was beautiful, clean, furnished and just what we needed and was looking for. All married couples had a private bedroom, and the adult kids easily found beds/rooms suitable. The cabin is tri level and there is a bathroom on every level. We were able to bring our food for the week and fit it all well as the fridge is good size and there is a pantry for dry goods. We were very comfortable and happy with the property. The property has a beautiful view and is only about 20-30 min from the West Gate. There is a cute little town between the cabin and the Gate that has gas, grocery, food and souvenirs. We loved our stay!

Really old and terrible property to spend your vacation

We spent five nights at this property and our experience was extremely unpleasant. The beds were not comfortable and were creaking all through the night. We spent sleepless nights all through our vacation. This house had so much damage. The sliding doors were broken and we had to manually place a wooden plank to close them. The bathroom locks were not working properly and the bathroom fittings were all loose. The pool table was right next to the fireplace and there was not enough space to play. The owner then tried to charge us for the existing damages. Stay away from this property.

Yellowstone Getaway

The house was about a 20+ minute drive to West Yellowstone with a really nice view of Henry's Lake and the mountains on either side. There was lots of room for our large group of 10 adults and one baby. The house was pretty well equipped although I think the kitchen could use a coffee grinder. There were a couple of broken chairs on the deck that should be replaced and a few more folding deck chairs would be nice also. Beyond that everything was fine and we enjoyed our stay..

Owner was super responsive with every question we had. The property has amazing views and is super accessible to Yellowstone, Henry’s Lake, and a number of ranches and downtown West Yellowstone. We spent nearly every night overlooking Henry’s Lake. Perfect getaway!
