Do not book this unit.This VRBO listing was completely misrepresented online. When we arrived, the property was absolutely disgusting and in no condition to host guests. The entire unit was filthy—there were hairs on the bed sheets, the furniture was dirty and had burn marks, and the kitchen cabinets were broken. To make matters worse, one of the toilets was just a hole in the ground—essentially a longdrop. Another toilet was leaking.We contacted the host immediately. He was apologetic and said he would send someone to look at it, but we told him we weren’t interested in staying at a place in such appalling condition. He said that was fine and agreed to cancel the booking. However, when we couldn’t cancel through the website, he told us to call VRBO. After I did, VRBO contacted the host, and he completely reneged on his word—saying he would now charge us for one night.After going back and forth with VRBO customer service, we were told there was nothing they could do. The host agreed to refund two nights, but insisted on keeping the money for the first night—even though we never stayed. We left immediately and booked a hotel room instead.This was a terrible experience. The unit was completely unlivable. Do not book this unit.
