Hole in the wall in the heart of Aksaray city

Small but clean hotel in a good location. If coming from the airport I suggest taking the metro train to Alsaray station then a short taxi ride as it is difficult to find on foot.

I had to endure the same terrible breakfast! Most of the items were chocolate biscuits. No variety and no taste. The room was clean but very small. My room had a king bed but was very tiny. The bathroom is large enough for an eight year old.

An appalling place... avoid

I can say nothing good about this hotel, its staff or indeed the neighbourhood. I have attempted to describe the many failings and serious breaches of trust I was subjected to during my stay in this hotel, but it seems it isn't possible here. Suffice to say I moved into another hotel on the first night of my stay and forfeited the cost of this room at Nobel Hotel. I hope this review will be allowed and others may avoid this appalling, frightening and filthy hotel. I urge you for your safety not to stay here.

Small room, but location easy for public transport

As a small hotel, the taxi driver from the airport had never heard of it before. Would be good to have with you the hotel's telephone number so that the driver can call to ask for directions. The tiny elevator - only 0.75 x 1.2 metre, half the size of most public toilet stalls - does not start from the ground floor, but one floor up. The bellboy will carry one suitcase up a floor to the elevator. The tight squeeze and the need to haul luggage up one floor may explain the hotel's unusual "one piece of luggage only" policy. The single room was also tiny, though clean and in good repair. Having a mini-fridge just used up precious space and became an added annoyance. There was no desk. Had: kettle, hair-dryer. Wifi was a little temperamental, hours might go by without connection. The heating was satisfactory even though it was close to zero Celsius outside. Bed was comfortable. Lighting good. Breakfast was ample, but remained largely unchanged over the days: hardboiled egg, yogurt, salami, several types of cheese, cucumber, tomato, cereal, lovely bread, almonds, cashew nuts, olives, and 17 types of cakes/biscuits/turkish sweets. Check out was a disappointment. Reception was unable to call a taxi for me. Reception just shrugged and said "no taxi", pointing me to the main road 300m away and I had to go there myself (uphill) to hail a cab. Location was good, being near a metro interchange (3 lines) about 400m to the southwest and a tram line 300m to the north. It's about 5 tra

Dont bother

Even if you dont mind roughing it.... dont bother. The only good thing was the free wifi!!! The room was tiniest of tiny!! It was a small double bed against a wall. The room looked out on to the busy street. We were woken up by the morning prayers. Its a bit of an uphill walk to main part of town. It is NOT friendly for those who has mobility issues. The day man at reception is horribly arrogant!!!! But the night staff were lovely go figure!!!!! This area was known as their "red light district" they are trying to clean it up now. Wish I had known, would of made sense of the area now. Sultanamet is the area we will look at the next time we are there! All in all 2/10. Not much to write home about! But we love istanbul the city! Cant wait to come back!

very nice location but not as good as i thought

very small rooms and very tiny bathrooms. Hotel will not allow any guests to come to your room. you would have to meet them at the guest area and I found that an comfortable talking to my family and friends in public. the hotel is so close to everything you would expect in Istanbul. its a walking distance to two major train stations buses, going any where you want in the city including Ataturk Int' airport. also lot of shopping area and restaurants close by. I like the breakfast and the free wifi. If you are driving, parking is very hard to find..

Great Value

I stayed at the Nobel for seven nights. Great value for the money. Location was superb. I'm 63 and I walked to all the historical sites, even to the extreme northern part of Istanbul over the bridge. I like to walk, but the hotel was right near the tram, so you can take that or taxis easily. Lots of great food near the hotel. Breakfast was simple but good. Room was small with a single bed, don't even remember if I booked a bigger one, but didn't bother me. Quiet and clean, nice bathroom. Only down thing was that internet access was very weak. I realize one doesn't go on holiday for that, but still at night or early in morning, it was frustrating not getting better wireless service. But all in all, I would certainly recommend this hotel for its great location and value in price. Staff was friendly too.

Excellent Location

Just a two minute walk from the tram station which will take you to any corner of Istanbul. The staff took a genuine interest in my demands and helped to the best of their abilities. Would go again in a heartbeat.

Good Hotel in Good Area

It was nice, convenient and very clean. Typical size for European rooms, the shower was awkward small which was the only thing I would say could be a problem. I felt safe the desk was Very Very Helpful:) and it's close to a few good restaurants and a McDonalds and Burger King. The tram is just the next block up and metro a couple blocks away. They have a nice lil breakfast that will start you off well. I would stay there again for sure or recommend this place for anyone.

Comfortable, clean rooms, friendly staffs.

We stayed 3 nights here. Room cleanliness excellent, comfortable with newly furnish. Staffs are friendly and helpful. We arrived at 0900hrs, they allowed us to check in before the actual check in time. Nobel hotel is a good place to stay.

Rooms a little on the small side, but generally very good value for money and a decent location within easy reach of all the major tourist attractions via the city tram service. Only other criticism was that the wifi connection was weak from my room on the top floor.
