This hotel is literally right in the heart of the city. The room was clean and beautiful, the staff was so helpful, the breakfast was delicious, and the price is very reasonable.

The hotel is gorgeous and has the old world charm you expect to see in Istanbul. The common areas were spotlessly clean, and the food for the included breakfast was delicious. The view from the restaurant was amazing. The courtyard landscaping is beautiful; I can only imagine how wonderful it is to relax there in the summer.The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly professional gentlemen. They're very likeable guys who really went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable. It was extremely cold during my stay, and they made sure I had a space heater to keep me warm. They also extended my stay in my same room and allowed me to check out late with no fee. They booked a taxi for me to get me to the airport on time, & just really made me feel like a cherished guest. But what REALLY made my stay special is the fact that they put me in the absolute best room in the hotel: the terrace room directly above the lobby with a full view of The Blue Mosque directly across the street. I'm still awestruck at being able to look out of my window and see that majestic sight anytime I wanted. I am already anticipating my return to Istanbul and my stay at Sultanahmet Palace Hotel. I sincerely hope they'll put me in that Blue Mosque view room every time I visit.

Room was without any heat for more than 24 hours. The bath towels they gave looked torn and rugged .. the staff at the reception does not speak English … we asked for a rollaway bed, it came without a blanket. Asked for a blanket then - they sent only the blanket without a cover. The property is in a gorgeous location, but other than that, everything else is poor. Breakfast is meh .. the exact same spread repeats everyday …

This was in the perfect location. We enjoyed our room although we didn't get the room upgrade we were supposed to. If you are a particular person who expects things in an American style, this place is not for you. However, if you are looking for a "local" experience, dive in and enjoy.

Excellent location, short walk (5mn) to Blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi museum and all public transport. All pictures attached are from hotel or view from it - Hotel and rooms have a yesteryears feel, very clean - Morning buffet breakfast is very good and you can't beat the view from the dining room.

The hotel was very nice: the rooms and the lobby are beautiful and the garden outside is also lovely . The staff were very helpful and the location is terrific, with a lovely view of the Blue Mosque from the courtyard. The breakfast was excellent, with an abundance of choices and a view of the Bosphorus from both indoor seating and the terrace. The only sour note was an evening meal we had in the restaurant, which was the worst we had in Turkey. It is difficult to find a bad meal in Turkey but even basic things on the menu were not available and the food we did receive was poorly prepared. Even the bread was stale. We spoke to the staff at the front desk about this problem but to date have received no follow up from the manager.
