Perfect Istanbul Stay

We were sent to another building, but the accomodation was clean, had great air conditioning and perfect for an easy stay. Rooms were spacious and accommodating. Hotel is in a great location for sightseeing and most other spots were just a short tram ride away from Karakoy Tram Station.

When I arrived to check in, I asked if it was possible to receive a complimentary upgrade, as I am a Gold member with Expedia and had received an email from your team suggesting this benefit. I was informed that an upgrade was available but only for an additional cost of €50. I mentioned that it should have been complimentary, but since I had no other option, I accepted and paid. The upgraded room was indeed larger, but unfortunately, the bathroom was outdated, with noticeable black marks on the door and on the shower floor. During my stay, I requested ice but was told that none was available. On the day of my early check-out, I went for breakfast at 7:00 AM. The chef on duty (a white Turkish lady) told me I could not take anything until 8:00 AM, even though the food was already set out. Her manner of addressing me as a guest was inappropriate and unprofessional. I believe proper training on guest interaction would be highly beneficial. In the end, I was only able to have a glass of milk, despite having paid for a full breakfast. Another major inconvenience was the noise at night. The nearby restaurant played loud music every evening until 2:00 AM, making it impossible to sleep early due to the volume. On a positive note, some of the reception staff were consistently helpful, offering water and assistance whenever needed.

La propiedad anexa no tiene nada que ver con la propiedad principal. Está a dos cuadras y tienes que llegar ahí por unas calles sucias y rotas. Muy incómodo de subir las malestas porque hay que subir escaleras para tomar el elevador que tiene fuera un teléfono inservible y en estado de deterioro amarrado con cinta adhesiva y mal puesta. Propiedad anexa sucia, poca iluminación, en mal estado, olor irresistible a cigarro porque la señora de la entrada siempre estaba ahí fumando y el humo entraba a la propiedad. Una noche se fue la corriente por más de una hora. Desayuno discreto. Propiedad principal limpia y en buen estado.

The hotel is between two metro stops so it's easy to get to the attractions in sultanahmet... It's in the neighborhood of karakoy which is an amazing place with lots of restaurants, bars and cafe's... The room was facing a busy road which was quite noisy into the early hours but generally a good room with a powerful shower... Recommend eating at bance tantuni which is just outside the hotel

The property is in a convenient location however there are a lot of renovation works happening directly opposite. We were placed in the Annexe which was two streets away. The TV did not work (not that we wanted to watch Tv but would’ve liked to of listened to music whilst in the room) neither did the air conditioning something we did not ask to be checked as the weather was mild. It wouldn’t have been fixed during our short stay anyway. We took a yellow taxi back to the airport at a competitive rate of 1500TL which the hotel kindly arranged. Karakoy is a nice area for restaurants and great for coffee/tea breaks and within a 10 min walk to Gelata Bridge so a good location. Staff were friendly and helpful even if communication was difficult at times due to language barriers (on both sides) I wouldn’t say the breakfast was fantastic. It was edible and varied but lacked pastry options for those who do not want to eat babaganush in the morning. Very small restaurant and overlooks the current renovation. Project, you do not have a view of Gelata tower as advertised. Would I recommend? Yes but there are more competitive hotels available in less built up areas which I will try next time Thank you for our stay.
