The room looked great except the tile in the shower had a lot of mildew. The exterior doors need to be painted, looks outdated, I was really nervous to the point of almost tears, but then I opened the door to a beautiful room completely redone that looked just like the pictures on the website. Of course, the inside is the most important part. I let management know about the mildew. I would definitely stay there again.

amazing hotel

our stay at Ocean Coast are never anything less than wonderful. the staff are always so nice and welcoming. the rooms are always so clean every single time. i’ve been staying at this hotel for years. this is our home away from home in fernandina.

The rooms were spacious. Staff was very nice. However, I was very disappointed when our invoice showed charges of $40 for parking. I don’t ever remember paying for parking. It should be free. Especially when we park ourselves in front of the room. I wasn’t happy about that at all.

My first room was horrible. The tub was not clean. There was mildew on the wall and around the drain. Housekeeping did come and try to resolve the mildew. Then I saw mold on the ceiling. I requested to be moved and I was moved to a different room. My second room was technically cleaner but it still felt dirty, worn and outdated. The owners need to make major renovations to this place so it can be worth the price they charge.

Well when I checked in I was charged an extra $60 on top of what I was already charged. As I was walking to my room I was meet with caution tape that was still wrapped around the rails. So getting settled in. I decided to go a view the town and come back French fries, cigarette butts, and open liquid containers. So trying to get rested and roaches started to come out. So I stayed up until I seen daylight. Went to check out now my $50 will be refunded. When I get finished with this review I'm am also deleting Expedia.

Great location to the beach, however very noisy. Bathroom needs attention to repair broken tile and cleaned better. Breakfast had a lot of great options and had hot food. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great amenities.

Stay was pleasant until the early morning hours. Fell asleep kind of late at 12 am. Was woken up because the microwave kept beeping. Got up to unplug it went to turn on the bedside lights and we didn’t have any. Bathroom light also was out. Went to the front desk and the guy called the GM. We did not get lights again until 6 am. Went to check out about 7 am. The front desk attendant called the GM again. Said it was a city of Fernandina issue. Called later and they stated a transformer blew. But it’s not the hotels issue and did nothing about it. Never got a call or call back from the GM. It is what it is I guess.
