Take a back road to hear the elusive night bird, the Whippoorwill. Whippoorwill Retreat at Raystown Lake is located among hundreds of acres of mature Oak Forest open for you to explore at your leisure. The newly constructed 2300 sq ft. 3 bedroom, 3 bath retreat features a large great room with 20 ft vaulted ceilings, beamed kitchen, open loft with additional sleeper, wrap around porch, screen porch, and open deck. The retreat consists of a basement complete with pool table, a large main floor living area, and a cozy loft. This newly constructed home was first available for rent in 2014. We were fortunate to have many wonderful guests in our first year, and look forward to another great year. Solitude is guaranteed, as your nearest neighbor is over 1/2 a mile away. Whippoorwill Retreat offers quick and easy access to Raystown Lake, with the closest launch only 10 minutes away. The retreat is also less than 10 minutes from the lake overlook and the exciting Raystown Resort and marina.

Come and stay, and maybe you will be lucky enough to hear the lonesome call of the Whippoorwills as you sit by the open brick fire ring, or on the spacious screen porch, for a quiet and relaxing evening.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds, gather used towels, and store extra beds

Strip sheets and pillow cases only, leave bedspreads and blankets on beds.
Place bagged trash in metal container at the end of the driveway.
We use a laundry service, please place all soiled laundry in the bag in laundry area.

We really enjoyed everything about this property! Beautiful cabin with everything you need. Secluded yet great location close to the lake and Trough State park. We made the most of our stay playing pool, having camp fires, and walking the trail on the property. Would definitely stay again!
