Escape to the mountains at this one-of-a-kind riverside retreat at the doorstep of Smugglers’ Notch Resort. Ski, hike, bike, sauna, soak, play, and explore—all without giving up the comforts of home.
This private 2-bedroom retreat sits along the beautiful Brewster River and is packed with amenities for both adventure and relaxation. Cross our suspension footbridge over the river for direct access to the Smugglers’ Notch Resort trail system, then come home to your own private infrared sauna, Ms. Pac-Man arcade, ping pong table, clawfoot soaking tub, fire pit, and more.
Down by the river, guests share access to our year-round outdoor hot tub and barrel sauna. Warm up in the sauna, soak beneath the stars, or cool off with a natural cold plunge in the Brewster River for your own Vermont Nordic spa experience.
INSIDE THE RETREAT
The primary bedroom features a king-size memory foam bed, wall-mounted Roku TV, dedicated workspace/vanity, and closet.
The second bedroom is especially fun for families and groups, with a full-over-queen bunk bed with memory foam mattresses, a convertible sofa bed, wall-mounted Roku TV, and classic Nintendo gaming console.
The living space is designed for hanging out after a day in the mountains. Challenge each other to a game of ping pong or Ms. Pac-Man, stream a movie, or simply settle in and relax.
Your fully equipped kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator, 4-burner gas range, oven, dishwasher, cookware, dishes, and the essentials for everything from morning coffee to dinner at home.
PRIVATE SAUNA + CLAWFOOT TUB
No need to leave the suite for a little après-ski relaxation. You’ll have your own private 2-person infrared sauna—especially welcome after a cold day on the mountain or a long hike.
The bathroom features a vintage clawfoot soaking tub with an overhead rain-style shower. Please note that there is not a separate walk-in shower.
YOUR OWN OUTDOOR SPACE
Step outside to your private picnic area with a fire pit and propane grill, surrounded by the woods and sounds of the Brewster River.
The property includes several hundred feet of private river frontage, with trails, gardens, and seasonal hammocks for exploring and relaxing.
RIVERSIDE HOT TUB + BARREL SAUNA
Follow the path down to the Brewster River and you’ll find our shared outdoor spa area, featuring a year-round hot tub and barrel sauna overlooking the water.
Go from sauna to hot tub to an invigorating dip in the river, or simply soak beneath the stars while listening to the water rush by.
CROSS THE BRIDGE & HIT THE TRAILS
One of the most unique parts of staying here is our suspension footbridge across the Brewster River.
Walk across the bridge directly from the property and connect to the Smugglers’ Notch Resort trail system—giving you incredible hiking and mountain biking access without getting in the car.
In winter, Smugglers’ Notch Resort is just minutes away for skiing and riding. In the warmer months, the surrounding mountains become a playground for hiking, mountain biking, swimming, paddling, and exploring.
STAY CONNECTED
High-speed Starlink WiFi makes it easy to stream, work remotely, or plan the next day's adventure. Parking is available for up to three vehicles, and EV charging is available on the property.
A FOUR-SEASON VERMONT ESCAPE
Come for powder days and après-ski sauna sessions in winter, rushing water and hiking in spring, swimming and mountain biking in summer, or spectacular foliage in fall.
You’ll be close to the restaurants, breweries, shops, and attractions of Cambridge, Jeffersonville, and the greater Smugglers’ Notch area, with Stowe also within reach.
Please note that this is a private lower-level apartment within a larger home and has its own separate entrance and private indoor living spaces. The riverside hot tub and barrel sauna are shared with other guests on the property.
During winter, Route 108 through Smugglers’ Notch closes to vehicle traffic beyond the resort. While Stowe is geographically close, the winter driving route around the mountain takes approximately one hour.
Whether you spend your days skiing, hiking, biking, exploring the river, or doing absolutely nothing beyond alternating between the sauna and hot tub, this is a Vermont getaway designed to make the time away feel special.
