The house and solar heated pool were absolutely beautiful and the view from the house was stunning. There were lots of places to sit and follow the sun around in the day..There is every kind of equipment you should need in the kitchen and toys and games for children in the pool and some in the house. There is a track near the house, which is good for an evening stroll or you could watch Netflix or other channels on the TV in the evening..It was easy to get to Granada and the nice little villages of Jete and Otivar by car. Alumencar was definitely worth a visit for a fabulous undercover market and nice park with Roman ruins.The host told us to stop at the hypermarket on the way from the airport or there was a Lidl and Aldi in Alumencar, which was necessary because there was no water/tea coffee or shampoo provided in the house on arrival. Because we knew about this, it was not a problem.Our only slight problem was the barbecue area and the oven were dirtier than we would liked, however, this did not spoil our very enjoyable holiday in anyway.We had a small child with us and very much appreciated the cot and highchair and the way we could easily partition a safe place off in the shade for our little one to play.

Wonderful week!

Check in was easy and communication with Krister and Marita was good.The house is in a beautiful remote area about 20 mins drive from the coast. The local village, Jete has a well stocked shopped and the bodega in Jete has some lovely wines.The pool area and outdoor kitchen are the highlight of the property. A fabulous place to spend the day! We did some early morning walks. The hills are a challenge but worth the view from the top. A day trip to Granada was very easy. We arrived at the Alhambra at 8.30am and were home by mid afternoon to enjoy the pool.The kitchen was amazing. Very well equipped with so much more than your average holiday home. A very happy week with our adult children and their friends.

Amazing

Amazing location, very clean, everything you need is there. The veiws are more amazing then you can tell from photos. Car required as you cant get an uber from there, but can uber to there. Very friendly owner, cant ask for more! 10/10

A magnificent house in a spectacular setting

Five star ratings are easily given but this properly and host really deserves such a rating. The properly is set on a hill top giving strumming views . It is spacious, well equipped and presented in a very clean condition

Beautiful Property and Amazing Views

We took over the whole property. It has 2 bedrooms in self contained ‘unit’ downstairs and 3 upstairs. There are many areas to sit both inside and out. The pool was fabulous and the views spectacular. One thing to note there are a few silent mosquitos so take repellent if you are prone. Fantastic kitchen and fully stocked equipment wise. The owner is delightful and very helpful. We arrived after a power cut and he brought in his friendly electrician to get it up and running. He was very responsive to questions. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there.

Superb stay in Jete :)

Great host and lovely home! We would do it again in an instant. We loved the quiet privacy and beauty of the home and surrounding country side; although it's away from the hustle and bustle of a town it's proximity to important sigh seeing places made this lovely to rest in or take off from to adventures. Beautiful and serene

The property was everything we hoped it would be: spacious, modern, clean and had amazing outdoor space. We hada wonderful week and enjoyed every moment. Just far enough from the beach and city to feel the peace and beauty of the mountains, but close enough to enjoy all the conveniences and experiences of the coast.

Lovely Villa with spectacular views

A peaceful and beautiful setting for a memorable holiday away from the crowds in a clean, spacious and very well equipped villa. Our friendly hosts Kris & Marita welcomed us and responded to our request promptly even providing a large paella pan for us to use along with home grown hot chilli peppers. As it says on the description, a car is essential as there are lots of great places to visit and eat - for which our host gave us details but we also appreciated just staying in the villa enjoying the views and watching the eagles from the terraces . We stayed with our three adult children plus partners and there was a comfortable amount of space for everyone. We would recommend this Villa and also that you pay attention to Kris's instructions on how to get there!

Peaceful break

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful location. The house is well appointed and very comfortable and the views are breathtaking. Krister was an attentive host. Jete is a sweet village and the local shop has everything and is run by a very helpful man. Would highly recommend this house.

The view from the villa is breathtaking

we had a fantastic stay at Casa Aphrodite. The villa is as described. Great kitchen with two fridges two dishwashers fantastic place to barbecue and Cook the air conditioning in the Villa was fantastic TV with the Bose sound system was great could not fault it in anyway. Big shop was 30 mins drive. We did Alhambra which is 1hr drive for 10am entire and back by 5pm for the Pool. Beach is 20mins went in morning and back in the pool by 5pm. Frigiliana is great Spanish village to visit.

Wonderful holiday

What a stunning this villa is. We have had the most amazing week and have enjoyed every minute. The views are spectacular, the house is both comfortable and well presented, containing everything you need for a comfortable stay. Our host Krister was very welcoming and helpful and made us feel at home. We travelled into Granada to see The Alhambra, and explored locally. A hire car is a must, and confidence driving on mountain roads also a must, but so worth it for the views from the house! Best wishes The Quinn Family

Our amazing stay at Casa Afrodite ❤

Casa Afrodite is an absolute amazing property, set on top off the mountain the views are to die for. The pool and outdoor kitchen area is great and we made the most of this space, all round a beautiful villa. We met Krister on 2 occasions, he made us feel more than welcome, he also give us a lot of information about the local area, a gentleman. We will definitely be going back!!

Beautiful vacation in Jete, Spain

We spent two weeks in Casa Aphrodite, a bright and beautiful house perched on the spur of a mountain in Andalusia, southern Spain. The house overlooks a special vista of hills and valleys that descend down to the sea, which is often visible in the distance. The owner, who is engaging and delightful, met us after our drive down from Madrid and had bought some essentials for us to carry us until we could provision for ourselves. The house is roomy and immaculate and almost all rooms have views out into the beautiful mountains. The salt water pool is big and cool, something desirable in the heat of the day. It also overlooks the stunning view. We very much enjoyed our stay and can recommend this house without reservation. We would be happy to return. Thanks to Kris.

Very Relaxing Break

Lovely quiet location. Great valley views, especially the sunsets. The villa is well fitted out, and the driving instructions made it easy to find. Overall, a very relaxing place to spend a few days.

Beautiful, remote peaceful villa

Overall the stay was great. The villa is beautiful with the most amazing views with plenty of space for 10people. We had a few issues the the electricity cutting out and spending two evenings in darkness with no aircon. But once the issues was found it was fixed quickly and it was easy to communicate over whatsapp. Kris was not there on our arrival (no problem) but we didn’t then really know how everything worked, leading to a bit of confusion. But overall the villa was beautiful so these were minor. The villa is a 30min drive from shops, so a car is essential.

luxury villa in Jete

Five stars for most aspects but we had trouble with drain smells and showers that didn't flow away and overflowed. Several of the lights didn't work and two air-con units didn't regulate. For a 'top dollar' villa this was disappointing.

Beautiful villa with amazing views

We had a wonderful week in the villa and were a group of 9. There was plenty of space for all and the views were breathtaking. The kitchen is very well equipped and air con throughout. We travelled to Granada for the day, the waterfalls close by are beautiful, Frigiliana for the evening and the beautiful natural park beaches around Maro. A few points to note - The reason we booked was for peace and tranquillity but when we arrived the owner was building a house next door and planting palm trees just under our terrace which meant construction noise from early morning. This did taint our stay which was unfortunate. Some of us did find the beds uncomfortable, particularly the double in the main house. Maybe look at replacing? Despite specifically being told to not clean the house and only put out the towels when we left, we had a rather abrupt text from the owner about the cleanliness of the house which left a sour taste after a lovely week. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the position and villa did make up for the downsides which is why we have still given it a 4. We would have liked to know about the construction before hand as this was the major downside of our stay. Hopefully this will all be finished and will not taint anyone else's stay in Villa Aphrodite.

Perfect villa for large groups

Great villa in nice remote surroundings. All the facilities needed. Large enough for 2 families, we were 9 inc. 2 kids. Car needed to reach the villa, be ready to drive in the mountains, which we enjoyed. Good service from the hosts. Will be in our thoughts for the next holiday.

Amazing modern villa with breathtaking view!

We went to stay here for a relaxing long weekend. The house is very well equipped, spacious, and full of light. The location in the mountains is unbelievable beautiful and very quiet. In the end of November, it was around 22 C and we used the clean and fresh pool. We also used the lovely outdoor kitchen and the wood oven BBQ. The house was overall very clean and proper. We would highly recommend this villa!

Ein wunderschönes Haus!

Wir (Familie mit 2 Kindern) haben im Oktober 2 Wochen in der Villa Casa Aphrodite verbracht und waren total begeistert. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist perfekt, es fehlt an nichts. Wie auch schon ein anderer Gast geschrieben hat: das Haus und die Lage ist tatsächlich nochmal schöner als auf den schon gelungenen Photos dargestellt. Das Haus liegt ca. 20 min von Almunecar entfernt sehr ruhig in den Bergen....genau das, was wir gesucht hatten. Also weniger etwas für Urlauber, die Trubel suchen. Der Pool ist ein Traum und von der Aussicht bekommt man nicht genug. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und stand uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Wir kommen definitiv wieder. Dirk

Great Holiday Location

This is a rare case where the photos of the villa do not do it justice. Large open plan living area, large workable kitchen and superb outdoor area. The views from the property are outstanding and in the morning you can watch the sunshine move across the valley towards you. The property is tastefully furnished with good quality items and is a comfortable place to rest and relax. Internet access is good (I could stream video / films from the internet) and the owner is in the process of making it even faster. The owners live in the villa next door and are very friendly and helpful.
