After a busy casino day or night, or a fun day at Mystic or the beach, relax with a walk through through the gardens, forest paths and wildflower field at historic Haskell House (c. 1728), or spend an evening by the fire pit and enjoy the stars. The 1750 House is an historic 18th century New England cape home. Use it as your home base to explore the nearby (15 minutes) Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Casinos. Close to exciting Mystic, Ocean Beach Park, charming Watch Hill or ferry out for a day trip to gorgeous Block Island. Closer to home there are wineries, farmers markets, fine dining, golf, parks, water sports or antiquing. Get lost in the ambiance and romance of a simpler century in the heart of the east coast’s Last Green Valley.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home! The bed was very comfortable and the flameless battery operated candles on the mantel were a great addition. A lot of thought and care went into decorating both the house and outside area. The kitchen had plenty of utensils and dishes. There's places to get groceries about 5 minutes away. We had a very restful stay, thank you!

Great getaway

This property was accurately advertised and didn't disappoint. Having stayed at several cabins/B&Bs in Connecticut previously, this one was excellent. Check-in was seamless, the space was a good size with all necessary amenities, and it was conveniently located near attractions. Communication was prompt and helpful, even with minor questions. Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable getaway from NYC.

The Haskell House has a wonderful setting indoors and out. The amenities were perfect for us and Judy and Dave were fantastic hosts. Beautiful Historic Property with all of the Modern Conveniences

This property was even better than we imagined! Judy and Dave are incredible hosts, who have truly thought of everything when it comes to their guests. They give you plenty of privacy, but are also willing to share their love of history if you are interested. We loved this cozy little home and it's beautiful surroundings. Sure wish we could have stayed longer!

A Wonderful, charming, historical getaway

This stay was so lovely and charming! The house was gorgeous with beautiful historic features. The bed was unbelievably comfortable! It was so quiet and peaceful, and the portable AC kept the place nice and cool during the rather warm and humid weekend. A great location on a lovely property that we unfortunately didn't get to fully explore, but hope to someday! Judy and Dave were so nice and communicative for the whole stay. I would definitely recommend this stay, especially for a couple!
