We arrived before the check-in time. The staff was very nice and friendly. He introduced the surrounding sightseeing spots to us and let us know there was a common coffee area that we could take a rest before going out. The lobby was bright and spacious. Gave a very good first impression. We came back at night on first day and the luggages were already in the room. So grateful that they upgraded our room to one with balcony and can see the train station. The bed was very huge and comfy. Bathrobes were well pressed with good quality. Really impressed with all the details of the hotel. There was an onsen in the hotel which we enjoyed a lot. We went to have breakfast in the morning and impressed again by the semi-buffet. There were breakfast set of different style like taiwanese, japanese, rice in seafood soup and eggs breakfast set. All look delicious and we had difficulty choosing which one to have. And there were salad, fruits, cold dishes, bread selection in buffet area. All the staff from front desk to restaurant are polite and courteous. Even the guard at carpark and main entrance would greet you with warm gesture. Thank you for the hospitality. We love this hotel so much and the visit to this hotel truely added a great highlight to this trip in Yilan. Also good value for money.

Great breakfast with an amazing view from the top‑floor restaurant. Beds were comfortable, though the room was on the smaller side. The only downside is the lack of outdoor onsen and the indoor pool area is quite small — we would have preferred a hotel with larger or multiple outdoor pools.

Another satisfying staying in Yamagata Kaku

This is our second time stayed in this hotel. We loved the huge hot spring pool inside the room. The location is unbeatable, close to both train and bus stations. We love the convenience and service!

The service at the hotel was impeccable from the moment we arrived. We were greeted with a warm welcome, and the staff took the time to walk us to our room, demonstrating the various features it offered. We loved the bathrobes and slippers provided, and we especially enjoyed the in-room hot spring in a huge bath tub. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast offered a variety of set meals to choose from. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
