The desk clerk was very polite and friendly and our room was clean. However……the bed was AWFUL!! It felt like we were laying on a sheet of concrete! Neither my husband nor I got any sleep at all.

Nice stay in John Day. Room was very spacious and as expected. It was very walkable to the fairgrounds, which is what we were seeking. We would stay again.

Everything functioned as it should. I would stay here again no problem. It is an older property and well taken care of by the owners. They do everything themselves. They are very sweet.

This is a perfect stopover or stay if you’re doing activities anywhere in the area. The owners take great care of the property and ensure everything is clean and ready for you - it’s an adorable little motel! It’s not the fanciest place you’ve ever seen, but priced appropriately and we will look for reasons to stay here again. (And don’t sleep on the restaurant across the parking lot - it was delicious!)

The room was big and had an awesome hi-pressure, hi-flow shower. It had plenty of outlets. The towels and bathroom smelled odd. The beds were hard. When we got there, the window by the door was unlocked, so I locked it. The next day, while we were gone, housekeeping cleaned the room and when we returned we noticed that it was unlocked again! That is not safe! Why would they unlock the window? Most of the windows in nearby rooms were also unlocked!

Older property with nice upgrades. Chairs a little shabby but bed fine (a tad hard and bouncy, but slept great). A solid 4.5 stars. Just a tad on the old and worn out is minor, largely unimportant ways. We enjoyed our stay!
