Stay in Comfort, Surrounded by Nature

Your cozy glamping retreat Tent #3 - is thoughtfully designed for a comfortable escape. Inside you will find two twin beds, enjoy a private bathroom with a hot shower, and make use of amenities like a microwave, coffee maker, mini-fridge, and wine glasses, ideal for savoring local wines. While the tents can get warm during peak daylight hours in the summer, our AC units work most effectively once the sun goes down, helping create a more comfortable sleeping environment throughout the night.

Please note, it is prohibited to leave pets unattended inside the unit.



A Pet-Friendly Retreat

Your furry friends are welcome! To ensure a comfortable stay for all guests, pets must be leashed and not left unattended in the tent. A $50 penalty applies to undeclared pets, in addition to the standard pet fee.

Unwind Under the Stars

End your day by the fire pit with complimentary firewood, sharing stories and stargazing in the fresh night air. Fires are permitted unless a burn ban is in effect.

During the summer months, temperatures and heat indexes in the area can exceed 100°F (38°C), and Heat Advisories may be issued. If you're traveling with young children, older adults, are pregnant, or have heat-sensitive medical conditions, we encourage you to consider the forecast before your stay.

Located 5 miles west of Johnson City, 12 Fires is a place for guests to learn, unwind, and enjoy the beautiful outdoors in style.

For a truly magical experience, don't miss a visit to Enchanted Rock, where you can hike to breathtaking vistas.



If you're in the mood for a cultural and conservation experience, head to The Preserve, a nearby attraction that offers a chance to see wildlife and enjoy guided tours.

At the winery tasting room, indulge in our delicious charcuterie board, laden with a variety of meats, cheeses, nuts, crackers, and spreads. Pair your feast with a glass of our handcrafted wines, and don't forget to try our famous Martins Nutz (Glazed Pecans). For those looking to dine out, Johnson City boasts an array of dining options, from the casual comfort of Fat Boy Burgers and Home Town Donuts to the refined cuisine at 290 Locale Winery & Pizzeria and Proof and Cooper at the Lumberyard.

Attractions in the area include well over 100 other wineries and vineyards, an elephant preserve, an outdoor wildlife petting zoo, historical monuments, museums, and serene Hill Country landscapes. Located near Johnson City, a very cute tourist town with typical Hill Country shops and restaurants. Close to Austin and Texas A&M University.

Directions: Five miles west of Johnson City, TX and turn right at the 290 Wine Castle into 12 FIRES Winery & Vineyard. Onsite directions: Drive into the property about 1/4 mile and park in the designated parking areas and check in with the attendant in the tasting room. If after hours, please call the main number on the website.

As a guest of this campground, you'll find barbecue grills, a garden, and local meal delivery service. The front desk is open around the clock.
