This property is marketed as a luxury listing with a premium price to match. While the view certainly lived up to expectations, the accommodations did not reflect any standard of luxury.
Someone came to the porch at night looking for the owners phone and money. Very unsettling to say the least. Made us very nervous.
Upon arrival, nearly an hour after the stated check-in time, the unit was still being cleaned by a group of people, which was not a welcoming first impression. Several basic amenities were missing, including a trash can in the bathroom, beach towels, and most notably, a key to the front door was never provided.
The mattress was uncomfortable and low quality, any movement caused the entire bed to shake. Bedding consisted of microfiber sheets and the comforter without a cover was far too heavy for the climate.
There was no stove, only a hot plate, and even basic kitchen items like a bottle opener and cutting boards were missing.
After the first night, we voiced our concerns and requested to cancel the remainder of our stay, but the host refused. While they made some effort to address our issues, the experience fell far short of expectations. Rather than enjoying our trip, we spent time explaining and requesting things that should have already been standard in a vacation rental.
The view was the highlight, but overall, the intrusive hosting and lack of amenities were frustrating. I recommend looking elsewhere if you're seeking a truly luxurious experience.
