It was outrageous that after a long day including two five hour flights and 6 hours of drive time and wait time, we arrived exhausted to learn there were no more “parking passes” on property and we had to park at another hotel over a block away or in a public lot. This additional inconvenience was not what we were hoping for.

Pacific 19 is very convenient to Kailua-Kona area, including the waterfront and restaurants. However (and maybe as a result), there is no restaurant on site. Despite a $45 per day "resort fee", effectively the only "resort" benefits were the pool, use of beach chairs and beach towels (bicycles offered, but apparently many had been stolen before we arrived). Room was comfortable with a small deck which opened to a garden (ground floor room). Parking wrapped around the hotel but was challenging because the spaces are marked very narrowly to accommodate all of the cars--you are at the mercy of other parkers properly parking their cars (not exceeding the lines). Staff was very pleasant and accommodating.

Would stay again!

I enjoyed my very short stay and would absolutely choose this property again. The staff were really cordial and helpful. I had not been aware of all of the amenities that were offered and hope to use those in the future.

This is a fine motel just a couple short blocks up from the main Kona town tourist strip. It is a solid 2.5 stars. Rooms are large with balconies. Bed was comfortable. Internet free and fast. Down sides: ac was a very noisy wall unit, no coffee maker in room. They did add $50 for parking and amenities. So bottom line higher than suggested on website.

The parking lot was full so we had to pay an extra $35 to park in another lot. They reimbursed $10. There were spots and stains all over the carpet. The toilet clogged. Check in and check out took forever because they were understaffed or staff didn’t know what they were doing. The lounge furniture has stains or wet spots on it. The complementary coffee service was low on cream and no sugar with no one in site to help. It looked like one person was running everything in the morning, like desk, coffee service, cleaning, etc. The hotel is obviously old and they’ve done some renovations but kind of like putting pearls on a pig. It is completely walkable but maybe pay a little more for a nicer place close by.
