We stayed here for the first time to attend a local concert. While the hotel was well-equipped to handle our needs for one night it is a somewhat tired property in need of a renovation/update. The rooms are super spacious, which is a nice surprise these days, but the beds were much less comfortable than hoped for. The bathroom is not as spacious as the room and the door is heavy and closes automatically with no way to leave it open. It was a nice amenity to have a kitchenette in the room but with no cookware/glassware/dishes it seems a waste of space. The one area that caught our eye was the pool, we didn't use it but it looked very inviting and well maintained. We missed breakfast but it looked like a great offering overall. It's a great location, near the university, but it's an older property in need of some TLC and an update.

The power went out due to storm. We had no breakfast on Saturday morning and no power all day. Need a day refund for this. Staff was great.

Unfortunately our stay was not what we expected. The staff and hotel are good, however the hydro was off for a day and we were left with no breakfast, lights, elevator or any amenities. We were surprised there was no generator at this property. This was very disappointing and we wondered if we could have some kind of compensation for this disappointing experience.
