Very roomy property. Our handicapped room had plenty of space for a rollater to turn around without having to back up. Breakfast and breakfast hostess were so nice. We had only 2 complaints. The shower left the bathroom floor wet everywhere because the curved shower curtain rod let water fall on the non-shower floor. The second problem was that the electric window shade was broken, so the room was dark for the entire 3 days. I believe that it wouldn't have been broken if a sign had been installed beside the window indicating the location of the switch.

The tray for the coffee supplies was dirty. It was covered on old food crumbs. I needed a step for the bed for my mother. They gave me one from the laundry area. It was filthy. I carry Lysol wipes in the car. I used many wipes to make clean enough to stand on the top. I think a worker is living in one of the rooms. A child about 12 rode a bike around the lot all evening. A person (worker?) wearing no shoes walking down the hall pushing a bin full of laundry. The pool area out of order. Sign posted no refunds after checking in. Will not recommend or stay again.

The rooms were nice. Our bathroom sink plug was broke and notified the front desk. Lights in stairway did not work. In the morning we didn’t have hot water at times. Television was terrible quality and bad color. Didn’t like that there was no local television channels available. Our room was near the front desk which made it noisy in the early morning. Stairway carpet was not vacuumed.

I've stayed here many times and it's always been clean and comfortable. This time, however, there were hand written signs taped to doors and windows saying, "Pool and Hot Tub are out of order. Sorry for the inconvenience. No Refunds!" The desk clerk said the pool guy was supposed to be in that day but she never saw anyone. I said that I was glad I hadn't brought my great granddaughters because they would've been devastated! She then said that it's been down for 3 months!

Good hotel, but bad room location

We stay here often as the location is great for us. Unfortunately, we arrived late, and we got a room above the lobby and breakfast bar. The second floor was open to below and our room was right there. Anytime someone came into the hotel or people talking at breakfast, the noise came right into our room. So I would definitely stay, just ask for the first floor or away from the lobby.

Getting outdated.

Seems like it’s slipping a little. We have stayed here before and it is getting outdated. Our room had torn carpeting, little gnats flying all over, the beds are too high. The pool and several pieces of exercise equipment and the ice machine was out of order. The people are very nice. It just needs a little updating.

Arrived after a 7 hour drive with plans for 3 children to have pool for the weekend. Sign on door saying the pool wasn’t working & there are no discounts. Nothing close in the area at this late notification with comparable pricing. Also broken ice machines and nobody paying attention to breakfast when many things were empty & nobody to notify at the desk.

Bed was comfy. Room was overall comfortable. A little noisy with doors slamming outside (we were on the corner of first floor) but it was a nice stay. Nice breakfast. Sad the pool was out but hey, it happens. They need maintenance too

I have stayed here many times. I will continue to do so. The room was super clean and the staff has always been very nice. It is close to Starbucks, Meijer, and many fast food places. The lovely town of Plainwell is minutes away and the neighborhoods are great to walk through.
