Good campsites, but bring your own lighters

Room is very clean, outhouse is beyond expectations, main bathroom and showers are super clean. The only problem is the tent is extremely cold. We didn’t know they don’t have a lighter or matches ready for us in the room. My friend and I don’t smoke, so we don’t have a lighter. We arrived at the property after 9pm. The office was closed, and everyone was asleep. So we have no way to light up the fire for our fireplace. It was freezing. But if I bring the lighter next time, I will still come back to this place. It’s very well maintained and cleaned

Property is absolutely stunning surrounded by beautiful scenery. Abbey on the front desk is extremely helpful. They let me park my car for a few hours when I went for a cycling. They’re very helpful people. I highly recommend this place if you wanna get away from crowded situations like Banff and other areas which are overpopulated this is a perfect paradise.

I didn’t like the fumes from the kerosene heater. The heater should be vented to the outside. I feel that signage could be improved. It is easy to miss the first loop. Our site was 65 and we missed the first turn and ended up driving the entire loop. Further to that issue - there should be a sign at the entry point to sites 65, 66 etc. to indicate that theses sites are private and not an access point to the River - especially at the River itself. After people were leaving the river to access the main road, they traipsed through our camp site with no respect for our private space. I found the staff very polite and helpful. When I bought some wood the young man took it to my vehicle. When my tire was low, the girls helped me get the tire pressure back to normal. I always felt supported.

It was a great 2 night stay. Lots of spots but each spot is private like you were there just with your family. Washroom and shower facilities were clean and great. They even have a store with items you can buy incase you forgot something

We stayed in a trapper tent and it was nice. We enjoyed how quiet and clean the area was. The only issue we had was the kerosene heater did not light properly and gassed out the tent, it was close to the office closing and I sent my teens to run to the office to get help and they refused to open the door and talk to them even though they were waving their arms and clearly in distress. We had to evacuate our tent and wait hours for the smell to dissipate holding a sleeping toddler because the staff did not respond to us or provide any kind of help with the heater. It was a very long name cold night following.

We had a great time at Sundance - I wish we could have stayed longer. The glamping tent was beautiful and cozy, and the heater ensured we didn't get cold at night. Check-in and check-out was made simple through their app, and the staff made sure to follow-up with us by phone since we were arriving late. Despite our late arrival we found the place easily and the detailed instructions sent out by email made it easy for us to find our campsite and settle in. The only thing that's a bit difficult is the bathroom situation - if you're far from an outhouse or the main washrooms it can be a bit of a nuisance - but that's part of camp life/forest living! The trading post has everything you need for fire-starting and all other conveniences that you may have forgotten, such as snacks, toothpaste, shampoo, etc. The large field games area is cute. There aren't any places nearby to buy groceries or food though, so you should prepare to bring that if you're going to stay on-site (we mainly slept there as we were traveling around the area during the day and mostly ate out). Lovely place! Was peaceful and quiet. Very family-friendly.
