Don't do it! Pricey, filthy and reeks of smoke!

I have stayed in a lot of motels over my lifetime, and this one is hands down the worst I have ever stayed in. Don't do it! The entire motel smells of cigarette smoke from the second you walk in the main entrance. The rooms were not clean. Hair in the sink. Cigarette burns on the comforter, filthy toilet. Also, hotels.com does not specify if the room is non-smoking. We requested to switch rooms when we arrived, but were told no rooms were available. The front desk clerk was very friendly, but unable to switch our room until the 2nd night of our stay. I purchased an air purifier, which helped some, but also was an additional expense we did not plan on. We moved to a non-smoking room on night 2, and it was absolutely no different than the first night. The clerk also promised a suite with a king size bed, but did not follow through with this either. The 2nd (non-smoking) room reeked of smoke. They offered to give me 30% off on my next stay. I declined, as that helps them out, not me. Not only will I never stay at this Super 8 again, I will never stay in another Super 8 anywhere. In our travels home, we stayed at a Quality Inn for $40 less per night, and it is incredible! Super clean, inviting, great continental breakfast, friendly staff. Save your money. Do not stay at this Super 8. It was absolutely disgusting! I wish I would have thought to take pictures of our first room. I did take a picture of the toilet in our 2nd room.

Room was dirty. Staff was unavailable when I tried to check in had a very bad day and very disappointed that my room was nonrefundable. I had no choice but to stay at that hotel and could not switch it to a different hotel.

Staff is amazing, we’ve felt so welcomed!

We’ve been staying at the Super 8 in Bourbonnais for over 2 months now and we absolutely love the staff - Suresh, Jaime, Mary Jane, Michelle, and Nancy are all great people and make great coffee! We’ve very much enjoyed talking to them and getting to know them. I don’t recall ever having an issue with any of the rooms we’ve stayed in, and we’ve stayed in many of them! :) We’ve very much enjoyed our stay at the Super 8 and it’s been a great place to have called home over these last 2 months. We appreciate everything that’s been done for us, and we will continue staying here for as long as we’re needing to.
