Booked room for two nights while my husband was in the hospital at KU Medical center. Stayed one night and did not need the second night due to my husband being discharged from the hospital. Hotel was very nasty about me wanting to cancel the second night and said I had to contact you guys about a refund. I immediately contacted hotels.com, the virtual person attempted to work with hotel and they refused to even listen. WILL NOT BE USING THAT HOTEL OR ONE IN SAME BRAND EVER AGAIN. VERY RUDE AND NASTY PEOPLE.

The place is a dump. It was very hard to locate where our room was, and the whole place was still in the process of being renovated. Even the rooms theyd renovated were poorly done.

There were stains on the sheets. Dust caked to the walls. Outlets that weren't working. Stuff splattered on walls & outlets. Dead bolt was removed so no deadbolt for safety in the door. Holes in the walls. Carpet was dirty. Awful.

Very noisy throughout the night with patrons and the AC unit. Our room was not in great shape overall- one of the windows was broken, dirt and hair in the bathroom, unidentifiable stains on the bathroom door, walls. Bathroom ceiling looked to have had a leak and repair was poor at best. Area was not great either. We walked next door to a Mexican restaurant that was okay. I took pictures of the issues in our room. It worked for one night in a pinch, but not somewhere we’d stay again.

Bad service and bad rooms

I was treated rudely. Booked the room a week out. When we checked in and got to the room the room was not clean, the bed wasnt made. When I had went to inform the front desk she had seemed annoyed. She got us a different room and in this one the rooms AC wasnt working. I had told her again and she moved us to a different room with the same attitude. The breakfast was decent. I honestly dont see myself coming back for another stay.

Left after first night of a 4 day stay

Booked a 4 night stay here because my husband had surgery at KU Medical Center. Stayed one night and checked out. Front desk person said maybe 4 words, no directions on how to get to my room and no information about the property or breakfast. There was a man behind me needing a bathroom and she would not acknowledge him until I was walking away. There is no elevator onsite, just a confusing ramp. Thankfully a nice housekeeping staff directed me to my room. Room had stain on the dust ruffle and it was torn on the corner. Room was ok but I was so exhausted I didn't notice until I left the next morning that the door jam had been busted in before and was sort of repaired. There was still a large crack in the wood. I went to the front desk to checkout and no one was there and no one showed up. They have a box with a note to put your card in the box when checking out. Parking lot had trash in it and the nicer hotel next had none. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and this was the worst. I'd show a picture of the door jam but the add photo feature isn't working.
