Nice hotel but missing basics

The hotel itself was very nice as was the front desk attendant and the front door valet. What we didn't expect was the lack of amenities. There was not a microwave in the room nor was there a mini fridge. There were no vending machines, no ice machines. You had to go to the front desk and they would get you some ice in a plastic bag. But once you got back to your room there was no place to put it. No cups, nothing. I've just not had this experience before. As for the room, it was nice. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room had two large televisions. And the bathroom was large. Honestly, I can't say who the hotel is geared for.... With the lack of creature comforts in the room, I can say I wouldn't stay here again.

I’m still waiting to hear from the manager who was supposed to be trying to make things right. We were in 3 rooms in 24 hours time. The first was filthy, the 2nd had no hot water, and the 3rd was a tiny accessory room that was all you had left, according to the staff. We also had no water to drink because the tiny box wasn’t stocked.

Great modern hotel in a classic historic building. All the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The exercise room, restaurant and bar are top notch. Rooms are spacious, well apportioned with very comfortable beds. There is not a lot in the immediate area but the KC street car (free to ride) is a couple blocks away.

Excellent hotel. Extremely courteous staff. Fast check in. Extremely nice room that was very clean in bed was awesome. There was road construction next to the hotel. However, I’m sure that will be over quickly.
