Katoomba Stay

Beautiful little home with lots of charm. Great communication with property management and easy check in. Location is perfect. Close to everything you need in Katoomba. My only critique would be the oven and stove top, they are very old, they do work however they don’t get very hot. Could do with replacing.

Fantastic little getaway for work. Instantly felt very cosy and welcoming. Lots of character and charm. The place was clean and super close to everything you need. I would happily stay here again.

As cold as ice

The cottage is lovely, however we arrived on a particularly cold day and during the night the bedrooms were like walking into a fridge. The 2 beds has electric blankets, but there were no portable heaters, so the air temperature in the bedrooms and kitchen was extremely cold. On contacting the managing agent I was informed that had I lit the fire the rooms would have been warmer. I had to argue for 2 portable heaters to be brought to the house, which eventually she agreed to do. These helped the following night. I have asked for a refund for our first night as none of us slept in the frigid conditions, and this seems reasonable as , although the house is lovely, it is not built for a Katoomba winter, with several rooms having no doors, so that the cold air spreads throughout the house, and no carpets, so the floorboards are like ice, unfortunately so far I have not received any feedback about a refund so far. We are regular visitors to katoomba in the winter and have stayed at many different short term rentals for short holidays, so we are used to the conditions, but this house needs some serious updates to make it a comfortable stay, and given the cost for a 2 day stay, I expected better. I would like to finish on a positive note; when we arrived quite late in the day, the lamps inside were lit and the electric heater in the lounge room was on, this made it very pleasant to walk into and created a good first impression.

Cosy Hideaway

A lovely cosy cottage (with good gas heating) for the two nights we were there. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms spacious. Unfortunately we can't report on the backyard, it was too wet outside for us to enjoy it on our stay. Would definitely consider a return visit.
