Prior Lodge Katoomba - Spacious & Stylish Retreat

Prior Lodge (originally called Lenna Muna), is a grand Blue Mountains residence originally built circa 1897. The lodge has been beautifully renovated and extended to create an expansive, comfortable and tranquil space for family and friends to gather. The Space: This home is made for relaxation and enjoying the company and conversation of those staying together.



Nestled at the top of Lovel Street, the lodge enjoys views of Mount Solitary and the Jamison Valley. Surrounded by tranquil gardens, it’s just 450 metres from Katoomba town centre and train station, or a scenic 1.5 km stroll to Leura Village.

Wake up to birdsong and admire the views from the sunroom or deck. Enjoy shared meals in the fully equipped kitchen and dining areas. Relax in the spacious and comfortable living areas, play games or find a quiet corner to read. Spend sunny time in the beautiful garden during the day, and cosy evenings on the lounge by the fire. While Wi-Fi is available, the owners have chosen not to install TVs because they cherish the way their family gathers and connects in this home without them.



The original home was built by Sir William Lyne, who served as Premier of New South Wales from 1899 to 1901, and later as a federal cabinet minister under Edmund Barton and Alfred Deakin. He officially opened the Federal Pass Track in 1900 which was built to connect the Katoomba and Leura Falls areas. Today, parts of this historic route are still accessible, including viewpoints like the Lyne's Point lookout, which is named in his honour.

The home features two dishwashers in the spacious and well-equipped kitchen to make hosting effortless. You will access the whole house. Other things to note: Good to Know
• The base tariff covers up to 6 guests. Please enter the correct number of guests to ensure accurate pricing. Maximum 14 guests.
• Minimum stays: 3 nights on long weekends, 4 nights over Easter.
• All beds are made up with quality linen, including doonas, pillows, bath towels, bath mats, hand towels, and kitchen tea towels.
• Please be mindful of our neighbours – maintain respectful noise levels and enter/leave quietly.
• Prior Lodge is a family-friendly retreat, not a party house.
