Cosy cottage in Kendal

This two bedroom cottage is perfect for couples and families. It is situated on a quiet street in Greenside in one of the oldest parts of Kendal. The town centre is only a five minutes walk away, with a wide range of shops, bars, restaurants and visitor attractions, also great to start fell walks from. We provide a parking permit to park in the town centre during your stay, 10 minutes from the property. There is easy access to the Lake District and Windermere is only 15 minutes drive away. A beautiful cottage located on a quiet road in the greenside area within walking distance of Kendal town centre. There is a lovely local pub the Rifleman’s on the next street, overlooking the village green.

A private entrance leads into a living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a lovely outdoor garden with seating.

You enter the property straight into a cosy living room with a sofa, armchair, smart TV, coffee table, books and board games.

On the ground floor you walk through into the kitchen with a beautiful original fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, Robert’s radio, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, kettle, cooker with hobs, fridge, a dining table and chairs.

A narrow hallway leads upstairs to two bedrooms. One bedroom has an en-suite shower room.

The master bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite shower room with a rainfall shower. There is a wardrobe with hanging and folded storage, a hairdryer, full length mirror and a Robert’s radio alarm clock.

Across the landing the second bedroom has 2 single beds and a wardrobe.

In the basement level of the house, there is a second bathroom containing a freestanding bath, toilet and wash hand basin. There is a washing machine, freezer and coat hooks in the hallway.

Also on the basement level there is a lovely private courtyard with table, chairs and a bench.

Parking -

For loading and unloading at the property you can drive up the street to the door step or on the main street at the bottom of the road.

Parking is restricted on the streets around the property between 8am-6pm, you can park for 30 minute- 1 hour parking zones, but there is plenty of space to park overnight outside these hours.

We provide a Westmorland car parking permit which can be used to park for free at several public car parks in the centre of Kendal the closest being a 10 minute walk away. The permit also covers other car parks locally which is great for exploring the areas surrounding Kendal. A list of car parks where the permit can be used will be left for you on arrival.
