Welcome to Whinfell Pod, your relaxing glamping retreat set in rolling countryside just a few miles from the market town of Kendal- known as the gateway to the Lake District. Here, you can truly switch off, slow down, and enjoy a stay surrounded by nature, with far-reaching views of the surrounding fells that give the pod its name.



Set on a small working sheep farm, you'll find yourself perfectly placed to enjoy the best of both worlds. You're tucked away in peaceful countryside—ideal for a quiet escape—yet within easy reach of both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. Outside, your private space includes a picnic bench for al fresco dining and a fire pit where you can sit back and take in the views. You're also welcome to make use of the Games Shed, with a selection of garden games to enjoy during your stay.



Inside the pod, everything has been thoughtfully designed to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The space sleeps up to 2 adults and 2 children, with a double bed and a pull-out sofa bed. You'll have a compact kitchen equipped with a fridge (including freezer box), microwave, air fryer, toaster, kettle, and all the essentials for preparing light meals. There's also a private shower room inside the pod.



Up to two small to medium-sized, well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you (sorry, no large breeds).



You'll have access to private parking right next to the pod, making arrival and unloading easy. An EV charging point is also available on site, with usage charged separately via an app.



When you're ready to explore, you'll find plenty to see and do nearby. Kendal offers independent shops, cafés, and local attractions, while the Lake District National Park is just a short drive away with its famous lakes, walking routes, and stunning scenery. In the opposite direction, the Yorkshire Dales offers equally beautiful landscapes, perfect for days out exploring, hiking, or simply enjoying the views. Whether you're seeking adventure or relaxation, you're ideally located to experience it all.
