From there, step into the kitchen of your dreams—featuring herringbone brick flooring, a full-sized farmhouse sink, prep sink, KitchenAid dishwasher, bright picture windows, a professional Viking range with two ovens and a griddle, commercial-grade hood, Ninja blender, coffee maker, and ample space to cook and gather with loved ones.

Continue into the dining room, where a table set for six (plus four extra chairs) is ready for shared meals, game nights, or celebrations. As you reach the front of the home, the parlor welcomes you to unwind, read, or simply enjoy a quiet evening—where many generations have likely done the same.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Walton House. The house itself is a nice combination of old and new (the stairs being one of the old. If you have mobility challenges, that might be the only concern about staying here), blended to maximize the visitor’s comfort. Well-considered design, especially the lighting and efficient air conditioning. The bedding is extremely comfortable, and it was a pleasant surprise to find loads of extra pillows. The amenities are definitely higher-end than many VRBOs we’ve stayed at – good TP, soap, shampoo, lots of non-slip hangers, and lots of large towels. All of the dishes, cups, and glasses matched, also a sign that our hosts want to offer a nice experience for their guests. We liked being on the nice, quiet street that was such a short walk to State Street, Kennett Square. Don't miss neighbor's decorations (actually, you can't miss them). Parking space is small, but we had no trouble fitting in our SUV. Kelly is a great host. She was very responsive, even going out of her way to try to help us with something outside of her responsibility as the property host. We highly recommend the Walton House, and we would definitely stay there again.

Can't say enough good things about this house. Great location in the lovely town of Kennett Square, PA. Very updated AND cozy decor and interiors in this historical home, but with an authentic flair. Like a magazine. AC worked great (we were there during a heat wave), and a kitchen beyond any rental home we have stayed at. They even had a 6 burner oven, and a French Press coffee pot. The house was very well appointed. The backyard was charming and very private (probably a good trim of all those luxurious plants is in store for the fall). The side of the house has a tree "en espalier", for those interested. It takes years to grow that type of trim. Bathrooms were updated and well appointed. Last and not least, extremely responsive and enthusiastic owners/managers, who were a charm to work with.Sincerely loved our stay (we were in the area for a graduation), and looking for excuses to go back. It was nothing short of magical.

Historic Walton House

The Walton House is a great place to stay. Plenty of space with 2 1/2 baths and multiple bedrooms, and in a great location. It seems like everything in the house is high-end, especially in the kitchen. The hosts provided all the amenities (including provisions in the kitchen, paper products, etc.) that we could have asked for. Would certainly stay here again if back in the area.

Excellent Location

This is a very nice property in an excellent location. We were there to visit Longwood Gardens for Christmas. Also visited Winterthur and the Barnes Foundation in Philly. Location was ideal. Shoos and restaurants in Kennett Sq are great and this property makes walking there perfect. The house is large, it wasn’t nice out so we were unable to take advantage if the nice outside area but in summer it would be great. Everything was clean and bery well stocked. Beds were comfortable and we appreciated the white noise machine in the master bedroom to cover up traffic noises. My only issue was the furniture is not ideal for taller, older folks like us. Everything is fairly low to the ground and the couch is super soft and difficult to get out of. And the fireplace doesn’t seem usable which was a disappointment, But we had a great stay and enjoyed visiting the area and the house made all of that easier.

Beautiful and central home

The house is beautiful with the perfect mix of historic charm and modern amenities. I am a light sleeper and I liked that the bedrooms seemed to have good blinds. Because it is on a major street, there was some traffic noise. I was able to drown that out with a white noise machine. The beds and pillows were all very comfortable. The only issue I had was on the day of checkout. I wasn't aware that the roads would be shut down for a half marathon. We couldn't leave at the required check-in time. I had to figure out which roads were closing and what time we'd be able to leave. After some back and forth, the property manager did allow us to checkout later. After I asked for help in trying to understand the marathon map and which roads would be closed when, they sent me instructions on how I would be able to get out. I am glad I saw the signs for the road closures, because otherwise I wouldn't have known.

An awesome older home in a great location

I grew up in the area but come back for family visits. I’ve always loved older homes and this home is a fantastic example of a renovated older home. It’s a classic 180 old home that has had multiple extensions over the years giving the home a unique feel. The kitchen is the center of the home and with a great setup for doing large family meals. The house is two blocks from excellent restaurants on the main strip of Kennet Square. Kennet Square is a classic charming old colonial town that is going through a downtown renaissance. Very memorable trip that my entire family enjoyed.!
