Great but no hot tub

Excellent front desk service - not just courteous but friendly. Real. Only downside was vey buggy pool and no hot tub. Beautiful view!

Its old and it shows. Badly needs a quality renovation. There was mold in the shower and the elevator floor is rotting. All the switch covers and the like are yellowed as if they've been there since smoking was permitted. My biggest complaint was quality of the people I encountered. Most notably, the putas having an hour long scrap in the parking lot, screaming their vapid heads off, followed by an import car with loud exhaust racing off and bottoming out over the excessively large speed bumps. I didn't get much sleep, even after getting earplugs out of the car and personally meeting one of the budget lolitas skittering past me her platform heels and tube top.

If you want to location right on the waterfront, this hotel is excellent. There are also a couple of easy to walk to restaurants nearby to have great menu options.

I've stayed at Clover Island inn in the past. Its a good.stop on a trip from Portland to Montana and the hotel is pet friendly. There's a walking/running trail along the river and Columbia Park is nearby, making it a good locale for walking the dog before we get on the road. Not fancy, but clean, friendly, and comfortable. Good restaurants nearby. A good stay.

Just a little worse than before

The most disappointing thing was that the breakfast has gone down a huge notch since the last time we were there two years ago. Also, they got rid of their Jacuzzi and filled it in with cement. That was really disappointing. It is still a fantastic location with a nice pool and right next to the Columbia river. The views were awesome. One of the nights we were there. There was a live band in the parking lot, which was really fun.

We have stayed here several times due to the closeness to restaurants and the view of the river. They have a good breakfast. Some of the rooms have been updated. The staff is nice

Nice view of the river and bridge. But overall it looks old, tired and worn. Walls and even bathroom seat had bumps and scratches, patio area around pool area had ashtrays and allowed smoking. They are remodeling. Hope it improves.
