Whole 2BD House – Spectacular Orchard Overlook!
Perched on a private hillside overlooking a valley of orchards, vineyards, and pastoral properties, this two-story home offers breathtaking views through expansive windows. The design blends rustic charm with modern comfort, featuring natural wood finishes, open-concept spaces, and wraparound deck and patio areas. Inside, enjoy a cozy living area with a wood-burning fireplace, a modern kitchen, and serene bedrooms for a restful retreat.
Tucked away at the end of a winding, uphill earth driveway—just beyond a charming private bridge—this secluded two-story hillside retreat rises quietly above the valley below. Perched in an elevated position, the home offers panoramic views that stretch for miles, inviting you to pause and take it all in.
Inside, you’ll find two cozy and inviting bedrooms, perfectly suited for two couples or your family of four. The main level boasts a spacious primary suite with a queen-sized bed and an elegant 5-piece main bathroom. Upstairs, which is accessed through the outdoor staircase, a second bedroom with a queen-sized bed and adjacent 4-piece bathroom provides a peaceful haven, creating a layout that’s ideal for both connection and solitude.
The kitchen is thoughtfully outfitted with everything you need to feel at home: a gas stove, dishwasher, full-size fridge and separate wine cooler, and a variety of cooking essentials including spices, salt, pepper, and cooking oil. For your morning brew (or afternoon pick-me-up), take your pick between the drip coffee maker and the espresso machine.
Step outside and you’re greeted by a sweeping wooden deck and polished patios, all leading to the edge of the fenced valley ridge. Sunbathe on plush outdoor loungers, grill up dinner on the BBQ, or gather around the outdoor dining table or lounge area to savor local wine as the sun sets behind the hills.
Whether you spend your time soaking in the uninterrupted views or simply enjoying the quiet luxury of space and simplicity, this distinctive retreat invites you to unwind in complete privacy. And unless someone told you, you might never guess—it’s a container home cleverly disguised in nature’s embrace.
Guests will have full access to the property and all its amenities. Please note that there is one locked storage closet that is not accessible at any time. We kindly ask that you respect this private space.
We are dedicated to being as available as needed to ensure your comfort during your stay and to help you discover the best amenities and highlights of the South Okanagan.
Please don`t hesitate to reach out if you need any assistance on making the most of your visit.
Nestled in the heart of British Columbia’s Similkameen Valley, Cawston is a charming rural community known for its organic farms, artisanal wineries, and laid-back lifestyle. Often dubbed the “Organic Capital of Canada,” it’s a haven for foodies, wine lovers, and anyone seeking a slower, more grounded pace of life.
Whether you`re sipping cider at Twisted Hills, picking sun-ripened fruit, or enjoying a sunset over the valley with a glass of rosé from Bottega Wine Studio, Cawston offers a rich, sensory experience rooted in the land. It’s not just a place to visit—it’s a place to savor.
Wine Country:
Cawston is surrounded by a constellation of boutique wineries like Crowsnest Vineyards, Little Farm Winery, and Orofino Vineyards, Forbidden Fruit Winery, Seven Stones Winery, Crowsnest Vinyards, and each offering unique, low-intervention wines that reflect the valley’s rugged terroir.
Osoyoos and Lake:
Just a short drive away, the warm waters of Osoyoos Lake beckon for summer swims and paddleboarding, while the town of Osoyoos itself—only about 20 minutes south—offers additional dining, shopping, and cultural experiences.
Orchards and Fruit:
The area is dotted with fruit stands and u-pick orchards, overflowing with peaches, cherries, apples, pumpkins and more during the growing season.
Farm to Table:
You’ll also find farm-to-table gems like Row Fourteen at Klippers Organics, where meals are crafted from ingredients grown just steps from your table.
Tourist Attractions:
Cawston may be a small town, but it’s surrounded by a treasure trove of experiences that blend nature, wine, and local charm. Here are some standout attractions nearby:
1) Grist Mill and Gardens – 8 minute drive: A lovingly restored 19th-century watermill with heritage gardens and seasonal concerts and events.
2) Twisted Hills Craft Cider – 4 minute drive: A picturesque dome-shaped tasting room serving up crisp, locally made ciders.
3) Sharpe Distillery – 6 minute drive: A farm-to-glass distillery crafting spirits from Similkameen-grown ingredients, with a cozy tasting lounge and rotating cocktail menu.
