Villa The Beji is the ideal choice for families or groups of friends travelling together - there are six bedrooms in a traditional Balinese pavilion style layout. Each pavilion has plenty of space and its own private terrace with comfortable seating - so you can look out over the sweeping grounds and enjoy the striking views.

The visual and social focus at this property is the shimmering 21m pool that curves through the spacious lawn. Encircled by frangipani flowers and majestic palm trees, accentuated with single and double sunbeds, it's simply stunning. Two open plan living areas with a vaulted ironwood roof and smart fittings overlook the pool, where you can sink into comfortable sofas after your swim.

There are two mirror-image master suites with direct access to the pool and luxurious wooden interiors, in keeping with Balinese heritage design. Supremely comfortable beds with King Koil mattresses await you at the end of the day, adorned with delicate canopies. There's a walk-through dressing area, and a semi-alfresco bathroom with a rain shower and statement sunken tubs set into a teakwood platform.

With no end of sports you can get stuck into, the villa boasts a floodlit tennis court with an umpire's seat and small bale, a miniature football pitch, basketball hoop, table tennis and even a trampoline! The air-conditioned gym has plenty of high spec equipment to energise your workout including a Body Solid cross trainer, air rower and Vision Fitness running machine. Talented sports coaches and yoga teachers can come to the villa for a personal training session.

For a relaxing spa treatment, head to the Japanese tatami style massage area encircled by a koi pond. Skilled massage therapists can come to you, so you can enjoy a massage in the privacy of the villa.

And when you're in need of some downtime, the well-stocked media room has satellite TV with a digital movie library and a PS4 for gamers. Kitted out with a Bose home theatre sound system, the room is also stocked with plenty of board games and books.

The dining pavilion seats up to 16 people - why not enjoy an atmospheric garden dinner, prepared by the talented in-house chef? You can even take cooking classes at this villa to learn some of his secrets!

Tucked away down a secret lane edged by emerald green rice fields, this villa is a peaceful home to return to after a busy day exploring Bali's highlights. Situated in Berawa in the heart of hip Canggu and close to Seminyak's amenities and nightlife, this villa couldn't be more central.

Berawa beach is just a few minutes' drives away, which is great for those who love surfing as there are some challenging breaks at this beach. Berawa has stunning black volcanic sand and panoramic views of the Indian ocean. It's particularly lovely at sunset when locals and tourists gather at the beach clubs to watch the sky light on fire from the comfort of a bean bag. Other beaches to explore nearby include Echo Beach, which also has excellent surf and famous beach barbecues.

Guests staying at Villa The Beji enjoy complimentary VIP passes to Finn's Recreation Club, which is just 500m away. Boasting a water park with thrilling slides - popular with kids and adults alike - a state of the art gym, blissful spa, vast tennis court and boxing arena, there's something for the whole family at this club. Up to six guests each day can take advantage of the exclusive passes. They allow you to unwind on the double day beds by the full-size lap pool with a glass of champagne in hand - so luxurious!

Canggu is surrounded by evergreen rice paddies that stretch as far as the eye can see. A great way to experience the lush landscape is by bicycle - take a trip down the Shortcut, which is a beautiful path through the plantations. Just be careful when you move to the side to let others pass, or you might end up in the locals' book of falls!

The villa is just a few kilometres north of Seminyak, Bali's premiere upscale beach resort. A playground for jet-setters, fashionistas and yogis, it's full of fashionable boutiques where you can shop til you drop. Seminyak has an excellent nightlife, atmospheric cocktail huts and superb sundowners at beach clubs.

There are plenty of fun activities around Canggu town, including having a traditional Balinese massage at a fancy spa, yoga and CrossFit studios. On Sundays, head to La Laguna gipsy market for organic and eco-friendly products and traditional handicrafts. There's live music and a great atmosphere here.

You'll be spoilt for choice when you stop for a snack in Canggu or Seminyak. Pick up some local treats from a warung, or take your pick of the wildly popular array of quirky cafes. Healthy smoothie bowls are available in abundance, as are world-class menus of international fare.

There are plenty of fun activities around town, including having a traditional Balinese massage at a fancy spa. Bali is known as the 'Island of the Gods' and is home to countless enchanting temples. Take a 30-minute drive to Pura Tanah Lot, a religious site perched atop a rock formation. It's believed that the temple here protects Bali from evil sea spirits. Pura Tanah Lot is also a popular spot for sunset, soak up the experience of locals praying and admire the ocean turn to gold in the evening light.
