Chapelfield Cottage is set in the heart of the Borrowdale Valley with wonderful views of the surrounding fells. There are many low level routes to be taken from the doorstep and for those who prefer something more strenuous, Scafell, Great Gable and their surrounding peaks are all possible day trips from the cottage. There is a general store in the nearby village of Rosthwaite and two public bars within walking distance. a lovely break in peaceful surroundings

Chapelfield Cottage was perfect for the 3 of us. It had everything we needed. The owners live next door in case of any problems. Good sized parking area, room for 2 cars - we have an estate car and sometimes spaces are tight just for 1.
