Fit our needs

Quick trip to the Keys

Overall this was a wonderful condo to stay in and we had a great time there! The kitchen was well appointed, the living room furniture was very roomy and comfortable and there was plenty of it for all five of us, and the big dining room table was a plus for our family because we cook big meals and eat together and play lots of games. Other than the master bedroom bed making a significant amount of noise with movement during the night, no complaints!

Great stay in Key Largo!

We had a great stay! The condo was well equipped, we loved that there were a few beach towels provided. Our kids slept on the pullout, and even with it extended, the living room didn't feel cramped. The pool area was awesome and the kids loved it! Would definitely stay again.

Overall property was good. Great location, beautiful grounds and pools. The home itself needs some attention. Several outlets were not working, fan in one bath did not work and several light bulbs were burned out. Jacuzzi tub has no way to close the drain, therefore unusable. Bath towels, hand towels and wash clothes need to be replaced. Dingy and stained. These are minor things that could easily be taken care of to makes the home more desirable We would consider this location again next year, but would love to see the home in better condition The property manager was great to work with and was always available if we needed his assistance

A slice of Paradise for a weekend get-away. This unit was clean, easy to find and close to lots of places to explore. The property manager made it so easy to get any questions answered and left us "swag" that was really helpful. Would definitely stay again when we want to visit the upper Keys.

Great condo in Mariners Club

The condo was very comfortable for our group of six with ample seating and sleeping arrangements. Beautifully and comfortably furnished. There were beautiful grounds and pools available to us to enjoy. Our only issue was the AC not working well in half the house, and with it being extremely hot and humid when we visited, this was not ideal. The management company was very responsive and sent out a team quickly to remedy the problem, and when it could not be fixed in a timely manner we were moved to another amazing property. We would definitely give this property another try!

Wonder Property & Host

This property was lovely and described just as it appeared when we arrived. Communication with the owner was also pleasant leading up to and throughout our stay. I wouldn't think twice about staying here again and enjoyed our stay. It would be nice to see Smart TVs in the bedrooms, but who goes to the Keys to watch TV? The home was more than adequate with Comcast and great internet, and we had a great time in the Marlin House. This location will be hard to beat if you're looking for a stay in the Upper Keys, you have found it.

Summer camp getaway

I took my daughter and her friend to Key Largo for a week long summer camp they enrolled in and The Marlin House was a prefect distance from all things we needed, grocery, restaurants and fun. The house was clean, the grounds were very nice and the pool is big, lots of room for everyone! Would stay again

Gorgeous property with great amenities

This property was so beautiful and well equipped. I was also very pleased with the property, managers, responsiveness and helpful. Suggestions for restaurants. Having laundry facilities in the unit was so amazing. We have multiple stops and we’re able to catch up with clean clothes. I also loved the extremely private patio. That was an unexpected and wonderful surprise.

Beautiful condo

The inside of the condo is exactly as pictured! So spacious and gorgeously decorated. We loved the gigantic couch. The dishwasher top rack broke and the property manager was on site within the hour-excellent service. The master bathroom's shower is a little weird as it comes straight down from the ceiling. All in all, I highly recommend staying here.

A disappointing visit to a lovely community

We stayed at the Marlin House for 5 days for our annual trip to the Florida Keys. The property could have been great, but the combination of negative experiences and inadequate response to our issues ruined our visit. Issues: - stained, ripped and discolored bath towels - stained comforter and pillows - smell of smoke in the closet with the linens - cockroaches in the master bedroom on multiple occasions - listing showed pictures of backyard patio, but property only included the second floor balcony that overlooked backyard area Property manager response to issues: - Towels - it’s difficult to get into the unit to replace or update linens - bugs - it’s Florida and bugs, including cockroaches, are to be expected. We treat the property as needed and could have come to the property during your stay. - backyard patio - the owner wanted to show the view. We will update the listing. In all of our 20+ years traveling to the Keys (or anywhere else for that matter, we have never experienced cockroaches in a hotel, VRBO or any other property. And finally, when we gave the property manager an opportunity to make things right, his response was “maybe if you stay at another one of our properties, we can give you a discount.” Not sure why he would expect that we would be confident the other properties would be managed any better. We will be back to the Florida Keys in the future, but will never stay at a Star Properties Destinations again.
