Located within Kiawah Island's private Vanderhorst Plantation and set behind the Island's second gate, 539 Bufflehead Drive is an elegant, custom-designed and fully furnished residence. This rare seven-bedroom, six-and-a-half-bathroom home sits prominently overlooking Egret Pond and the second hole of the Osprey Point Golf Course and has plenty of room for the whole crew!
As you enter the home, you'll find a cozy sitting area, then a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows give way to the stunning lagoon and golf course views just beyond and allowing for plenty of natural light to stream through.
An adjacent chef's kitchen and dining room are thoughtfully appointed, including a spacious center island with bar seating for five, top-grade, GE stainless steel appliances and high-end finishes throughout. Additional kitchen features include a walk-in pantry and a separate butler's pantry featuring a wet bar.
Conveniently tucked away behind the kitchen, you'll find the laundry room with extensive cabinetry, a utility sink, and a dedicated workspace.
The dining space can seat up to eight and offers even more incredible views of the lagoon and golf course to enjoy. Just through the dining room, you'll find the screened-in porch, with 180-degree views. The incredible outdoor living space includes an expansive rear deck that runs the length of the home with multiple seating and dining areas.
Central to this outdoor retreat is an infinity-edge pool, oriented to maximize views (can be heated for an additional $195 per day, four day min). Additionally, this space hosts a covered outdoor kitchen and bar area with granite countertops, built-in grill, sink, and ample bar seating, all perfectly ideal for entertaining and year-round outdoor dining.
A guest suite located on the first floor offers a tranquil retreat. Large windows frame peaceful views of the lagoon and golf course, and direct access to the rear deck further enhances this private space.
As you journey up to the second floor, you're greeted with a spacious landing area, French doors open to a small balcony, with breathtaking views below. This second level features four bedrooms, two with king beds and two with a queen bed, each with en suite baths and customized closets including a gorgeous primary suite. Your personal oasis has an oversized bedroom with room for seating with a peaked ceiling. A luxurious bath includes two free standing vanities, dressing table, large shower and separate tub. The closet is an organizer's dream and completes the stylish suite.
On the third floor, you're greeted with yet another large, additional living space, perfect for cozy movie nights and two additional bedrooms (one with two queens and one with a king) that share a full bathroom.
As our guest, you will have access to 5 Championship Golf Courses – including The Ocean Course – the location of the 2021 PGA Championship; The Kiawah Island Resort Tennis Center - #1 ranked by Tennis Resorts Online; Free Wireless Internet Access; Local Property Management staff is on hand in case of emergencies and their friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff can assist you with any needs throughout your stay. Additional housekeeping services are also available during your stay (mid-week clean or daily trash and tidy).
No smoking and no pets allowed. Elevator is available for guest use however does not extend to the third floor.
When you stay with ESPM for 3-21 nights (not available in low season, late Oct to mid Mar)you will receive a valuable credit of up to $280 (amount dependent on length of stay) to use toward beach gear, bikes, etc. Credit may not be available for last minute bookings, 48 hours notice is required.
Upon booking you will be sent a rental agreement to review and complete online. Your booking is not confirmed until this document has been submitted.
