Start Making Waves in Kill Devil Hills at this spectacular custom-built home with 3 en suites and incredible ocean views from the great room and front decks! Beach access is just a short walk from the front door after crossing Rte. 12 (the Beach Road). This home is equipped with granite countertops and hardwood floors throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped for your cooking needs. In addition, there is a separate kitchenette in the lower rec. room. This home has ceiling fans, a pool table, sports bar, exercise equipment, wireless internet access, a gas grill, a charcoal grill, and much more. Make memories splashing around in the glistening 12'x24' private pool.

Get your luggage and groceries to the top level with ease using the stair tamer. A $75 + tax refundable deposit is required at check-in to receive the remote and will be refunded upon the remote being returned to the office. A $25 + tax refundable deposit is required to obtain the cornhole bags. Refund will be credited upon the bags being returned to the office.

Located in the middle of the central Outer Banks and bordered by miles of attractions, activities, shops, and restaurants, (and not to mention miles of ocean), Kill Devil Hills offers vacationers a world of things to do and see. Plan your vacation now!

75th Birthday Week Long Party

This property is beautiful and a great location. It is only a block from the beach, but up a hill. The accomodations allowed for 5 couples to have their own rooms and bathrooms, and balconies.We were excited to see that there was a grill to cook.My husband opened it and it looked like it had not been cleaned in over a month. Someone left the propane open and it reeked of fumes. We had to cook in the upstairs kitchen which was okay.There was dog hair under the couches and end tables in the family room. The broom was old and full of dog hair also.The stair tamer was inoperable on our arrival. The family room, kitchen and bedroom were on the 3rd level.There was no hot water in the bathtub on the 3rd floor.The basement sink had a broken left handle. There were 3 hornet's nest on the 2nd and 3rd floor balconies. This was remedied within 24 hours.The Management Company should check when turning over to a new family.

Great Stay

The property was very clean when we arrived. The house provided plenty of room and beds for 8 adults. There was plenty to do between the game room, pool and beach. Loved that the beach was only a 5 minute walk and that Target was just around the corner. There was plenty of options for grocery stores close by. The kitchen and living room were open and large so everyone had room and the long table provided plenty of seating for dinners. The management company communicated throughout our stay if we had any needs. I would definite recommend this property.

40th birthday celebration

4 couples. The space was perfect to accommodate. Great walking location to beach, target, & a few restaurants. Only disappointment was the house listing said beach chairs. 2 were broken & all were rusted terribly. We ended up renting chairs instead for the group.

Great Stay

My family and friends enjoyed our time at Making Waves. The house is located in a great location right in Kill Devil Hills with easy access to the beach (about a 1-2 minute walk) and a short drive to anything else needed. The house was large and accommodating and we enjoyed the pool after a day at the beach.

Excellent house great location

Came down for the weekend. House layout (rooms), and amenities were great. Kitchen was well stocked. House was 5 lots from beach access for an easy stroll to it. Good views from front of house looking to the ocean. Great location to start your exploration of the OBX. Property management was quick to respond to texts about small situations, but there was nothing that impacted the stay. I would rent again.
