School House is a rather fabulous much loved holiday home. With magical countryside views to the front, a beautiful pool and gardens and an eclectic mix of furnishings inside, this very large, laid back and relaxed getaway is perfect for a holiday any time of year. Sleeping eight and dog-friendly, the whole family can join you for a special celebration or simply an unforgettable stay. With the outdoor pool you can enjoy long summer days relaxing and soaking up the rays, while preparing a lunch or supper in the large farmhouse-style kitchen.
As you arrive through the grand entrance, you're sure to be captivated by the space this house offers. An oh-so-relaxed country kitchen with electric range oven, with feature vaulted roof with exposed beams and huge larder/walk-in pantry with American-style fridge/freezer, this is the most fabulous spot. Pull up the stools to the breakfast bar, perfect for rustling up a feast, or take your morning coffee or plan your holiday adventures around the rustic farmhouse table. Adjoining this room is a large and very light and impressive dining room with spacious dining table and big windows where you can enjoy meals or evening drinks. With two sets of doors leading out onto the internal courtyard, this is equally inviting for a morning coffee or drinks on an evening.
On an evening maybe choose to spend time in the more formal living space to the side of the house with its feature fireplace. Light the fire, sink into the sofas and get lost in a fascinating book or play a fun board game at the card table in the bay window. or maybe head to the relaxed TV/family room which leads of the dining area, where you will find squashy sofas and a large pull-down cinema screen. This rooms is also stocked with books, games and cards to keep everyone amused. Upstairs on the first floor you will find the Master bedroom and bedroom two, both with King-size beds and separate bathrooms, one which features a bath and one with a shower. Head upstairs to the second floor and you will find bedrooms three and four, both with 4ft small double beds so more suitable for children. There is also a ground floor shower room/cloakroom.
The secluded and peaceful outside space is one of the best features of this unique property. It is very private and quiet and a great spot to spend sunny afternoons and warm evenings around the pool. There's plenty of space and shade for everyone to find their own spot to relax and unwind, with outdoor furniture, picnic table and lawned areas. Here you can play fun family games, enjoy afternoon picnics on the lawn or simply soak up the wonderful countryside views, or walk out the front gate and head to the pub just a couple of doors away, where you can enjoy good food and local ales.
