The Beech Hut is tucked away in the heart of the quiet, quaint Devon village of South Milton.
South Milton is within walking distance of the National Trust beach of South Milton Sands, with its ever popular Beachhouse restaurant and watersports hire centre. South Milton Sands has lifeguards in the summer and is therefore popular with families. The sheltered bay makes it easy for Stand Up Paddleboarding and kayaking.
Next to South Milton Sands, Thurlestone Golf course has spectacular views over the cliffs and Bantham, one of Devon’s premier surfing beaches is just a short stroll away.
World renowned Salcombe is just a short drive or even a walk, for those more active guests! Salcombe gives visitors unlimited boating and sailing opportunities as well as high end shopping, restaurants and celebrity spotting!
Hope Cove is also easily reached on foot. Hope Cove has pubs which often showcase live music, together with sheltered beaches set under dramatic cliffs.
Turning away from the coast, visitors should also experience Dartmoor. Dartmoor is famous for spectacular walks, cosy village pubs with gorgeous cream teas and of course, the mystical folklore! No visit to South Devon should miss this!
The South Hams truly is a walkers paradise, its easy to see why the whole area is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The lodge itself has parking and its own private access. There are 3 short steps up to the terrace and private decking.
The decking overlooks a small stream which runs along the back of the lodge, giving visitors a peaceful soundtrack to alfresco meals! The evening sun sets in front of you, giving wonderful views as you enjoy a glass of something cold after a hard day at the beach!
Going into the lodge, our guests have a fully fitted and well equipped kitchen, with everything that you would need for a family holiday. We offer an oven, dishwasher, kettle and full size fridge freezer.
The living area is comfortable and spacious, with views over the stream and countryside. The fields in front of the living room are filled with wildlife, which is lovely to see.
We offer wi-fi with a good speed throughout the property and a 42” flat screen TV, for days when you would just like to relax with a good movie!
The bathroom is modern with a walk in shower and heater .
The master bedroom has a double bed, views over the stream and fields, together with a large wardrobe and dressing table. French windows open out onto the decking.
The twin room has 2 single beds and a wardrobe.
It doesn't need to be summer to enjoy the wonders of Devon and the Lodge is a great place to recharge your batteries and experience all we have to offer.

This cabin offers its guests barbecue grills and a garden. The front desk is open around the clock.
