There is excellent walking on lanes and footpaths with direct access to Offa’s Dyke at Hergest Ridge. Much of Herefordshire and the border areas are easily reached, whilst the coast at Aberystwyth is about 60 miles. Leominster is 15 miles, and Hay-on-Wye, also 15 miles, is convenient for the Hay Festival, whilst Ludlow, Bromyard and Hereford are about 20 miles. Visit Weobley where the heart-wrenching film of Hamnet was filmed, it picked up the best drama award at the Golden Globes, and is now tipped to walk away with an Oscar later on this year, this idyllic village has appeared in several publications, even before it opened in the UK cinemas, and is a must visit destination. Other attractions well worth a visit include Hergest Croft Gardens, Westonbury Mill Water Gardens, Kinnersley Castle, Hereford Cathedral with its chained library and Mappa Mundi centre, and the Black and White Village Trail at Ledbury. The Hay Festival is held on 26th May - 5th June 2022. There is golf available nearby, and an owl and small breeds farm less than a mile away, as well as a red kite feeding station nearby.
