You are not far from Lake Coniston and also up on the coast road is Ravenglass, which is the start of the La’al Ratty, a miniature railway that will take you up 7 miles to the village of Boot offering great views. It is only 15 minutes to Ulverston over the fells with fantastic views from the steep fell road. You can also visit Muncaster Castle and its fabulous gardens. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 550 yards.
