Check-in was kind of ridiculous, left us waiting in the middle of a busy restaurant holding our luggage while staff rushed by us with beers and food. Felt neglected immediately. They need a designated check-in area to wait for service. Room was spacious nice and clean, however it needed some general maintenance, bearing in the heating unit was just screaming, had to turn it off, good that there was a secondary heating source with the nice electric fireplace which provided a homely feel. They need somewhere in the room to place footwear. No usb charging outlets. Other than that good experience, convenient location, comfortable bed. 4/5

First visit and I was enchanted. It is located in charming downtown Guelph, 5 minute walk from the train station. Very well appointed rooms. I had a one bedroom suite with LVR, eating area, kitchenette with full size stove and fridge. It would be suitable for long stays. However, there are no elevators so not suitable for those with mobility issues. The one drawback was the TV remote which I could not set to regular cable TV: these should be simplified as models change from one hotel to another and it is annoying to waste so much time trying to figure out how it works. Definitely not a deal breaker just annoying. I would 100% recommend and return myself.

Hotel was fantastic. It is a bit odd dealing with a front desk located in a bar, but they make it work. Only downside is that youd better be prepared to climb stairs. The building is old and well maintained, but it doesn’t have an elevator
