We had such a great time as our little family of 3 (with our 1 year old)! We loved the family splash pad and the size of the room! Our favorite part was the screened in balcony to spend our nights in the quiet without the worry of bugs!

Melissa at check-in was wonderful, kind ,very informative, pleasant + just a welcoming person. We could not have asked for a better check-in experience. The resort was clean ,attractive all our needs were met. The beds were sooooo comfortable, the pillows were luxurious. The outdoor pool was huge, loved that it went to 9 feet. Diana who gave us the towels was helpful + very friendly. We truly enjoyed our stay ,just wished it had been longer.

Great Stay

Short family trip to the beach with the kids before school starts. This place was perfect and the kids loved the pool. It was open until 10pm so we would enjoy our adventures in OBX during the day and spend the evening at the pool. We will definitely be back and will stay here again. The only thing I didn’t like was that the walls are pretty thin and you can hear all the neighbors.

Maybe it was just the timing, but it took 2 hours aftet regular check in time to finally be checked in. It was good regardless. I just wish that it was checked in sooner, to fully enjoy the amenities. I had to constantly keep checking my phone every 15 to 30 mins.

Be clear: check in starting at 4 DOES NOT mean you may get your room at 4pm. We arrived for pre-check in at 3pm and were told we may not have our room ready on time because they were busy and understaffed. We were permitted to use the facilities but did not get into our room until almost 7pm. Needless to say, I was frustrated. I tried contacting Expedia and was transferred from person to person and eventually told it was my fault because I wasn't physically there (I was) and that I had chosen to pay at the facility there wasn't much they could do. I then had 2 experiences at the front desk. One staff member (name excluded) kept saying that I didn't understand because the island is busy and it is check in day. I said I understood that and was understanding of understaffing but she was becoming visibly upset with me for expressing my frustration at the lack of clarity at booking and also became increasingly rude. I then was able to speak with Melissa who was much more helpful. Melissa listened and was kind and we were able to find a fair solution. The suite itself was amazing and definitely worth a stay if they can get the turnover figured out. Beds were comfy, bathrooms clean and the space was nice overall.
