Welcome to Captain’s Quarters at Sea Dunes Townhomes, Kitty Hawk! With our beautiful, expansive beaches, a central location and Sea Dunes many amenities, we can offer your family an enjoyable vacation experience. You will enjoy easy access to the lifeguarded beach from Memorial Day to the end of September and walk to several popular restaurants. Sea Dunes D2:
Ground Level: Garage with ample storage for beach gear, a cabana shower, washer, dryer, and an extra fridge. The hallway stair case leads to the mid level.

Mid Level: 2 Master Bedrooms, both with private baths and TV (one with access to a private shaded deck also with views of the Atlantic) Townhouse sleeps five….king, queen, and twin beds.

Top Level: Living area with sofa and love seat recliners. Smart TV and deck access, half bathroom, dining room, kitchen with stainless appliances, and breakfast bar. An open sun deck, with deck furniture and ocean views, is accessible off of the living area.

THIS UNIT IS NOT HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE - THERE ARE TWO SETS OF STAIRS TO THE TOP/LIVING AREA.

Special Note: After each guest departs our cleaning team fully cleans the townhome in accordance with CDC guidelines. The goal is to make your stay with us as memorable as possible.

LOCATION:
While you’ll love spending time at Sea Dunes, enjoying the community amenities and relaxing on the beach, many nearby attractions provide excellent options to fill your vacation hours!
Local boutique shops and popular restaurants with a diversity of cuisine surround Sea Dunes. Grab some hotcakes for breakfast at Stack’em High Pancakes, enjoy an afternoon frozen cocktail at Hurricane Mo’s, then head to Barefoot Bernie’s for live music with your dinner. Two of the only oceanfront restaurants/bars and local hot spots, Black Pelican and Hurricane Moe’s, are walkable from Carolina Captain’s Quarters. Less than a mile away are Captain Frank’s and John’s Drive In, one famous for hot dogs and the other milk shakes.
Drive an easy 2 miles to the Kitty Hawk Coastal Reserve, where you can stroll the walking paths to observe the natural wildlife, or bring your fishing equipment and catch some fresh bass.
For a historic cultural experience, take a 10-minute drive to the Wright Brothers National Memorial, where you can stand at the exact take-off point for the first successful airplane flight.
Various bridges connect the different islands that create North Carolina’s Outer Banks so that you can spend your remaining vacation days exploring the area’s breathtaking, natural waterfront beauty.

Cancellation and Refund for Booking: Travelers who cancel at least 30 days before check-in will be refunded 100% of the amount paid. Cancellation between 14 and 30 days before check-in will be refunded 50%.

Weather Related Refund: Renters will get refund for unused days due to mandatory evacuation or condo “out-of-use” due to weather. (Travel insurance consideration may be a safety net for renters.)

MINIMUM STAY INFO:
*** IN SEASON: (1st week of June through 2nd week of Sept) - Rents weekly only. Saturday to Saturday . Check in Saturday 4 pm. Check out the following Saturday by 10 am.
*** OFF SEASON: (2nd week of Sept through May 31) 3-night minimum. Rents nightly, weekly or monthly. Discount for monthly stays. Check in 4 pm. Check out by 10 am.

Linens:
Linens are included in rental rates. Linens will include sheets for beds, 2 bath towels, 2 bath cloths, and 1 hand towel per bedroom. One hand towel in the half bah and kitchen cloth and towel are provided.

Special Note: Townhouse will be cleaned including disinfecting all surfaces, e.g., counters, handles, light switches, etc.

This was our first VRBO experience and I have to day this place and the owners set the bar very high. Great communication before and during our stay and the house was super clean for a beach house. We usually rent from one of the big name OBX rental companies but for some reason their cleanliness is always an issue.Great house. Exactly as described. Perfect for a family of four (2 adults and 2 elementary aged boys).

We had a great time in Captain’s Quarters. The townhouse was lovely and perfect for our family. Tons of little extras (beach chairs, bikes, small cooler) which was really nice. Beach was so easily accessible. A few nice local places to grab dinner. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience!

Beautiful Townhouse

This is a beautifully updated townhouse. It was moderately clean. The beds seemed fine, except for the king in the master. It was lumpy and squeaky. Applicances are great, and the property is spacious.

Lovin' the quiet beach Livin'!

This is a lovely well-appointed townhouse, well stocked with everything you could need, in a quiet community, mere steps from the beach and close to good places to eat. In Kitty Hawk you're just a short drive from EVERYTHING on the OBX and there is SO much to see and do on that beautiful sand bar! We did not have the best weather the whole week that we were there and had to endure a flood for a day and a half - but the locals took care of everything rather efficiently and we were back in business in no time! We can't wait to go back!

Great place to stay

We enjoyed the stay at Sea Dunes. We experienced an issue with the first place we rented a couple days before traveling there. The owner had a pipe burst and her rental was unlivable but she contacted us immediately and had found another rental just 4 doors away from hers. The owner quickly ensured we had another place to stay while her place D2 was going to be repaired.The owner made all the arrangements for us to get in touch with the new owner in D6. One we contacted new owner and she forwarded the check in /out details plus the access code we were all set. Both places were a great place to rent and given both owners were more than willing to take care of our situation and made the transition very easy. We loved dealing with both owners and will return again another time. Thanks for taking great care of us both Charlotte and Shelly.

This a nice place with very easy access to the beach across the road. Convenient location allowing to easily explore the area. A bonus to staying here is the well stocked kitchen. Several good restaurants are within walking distance. We enjoyed are time at the condo and area.

The condominium is located in an easy to find complex in Kitty Hawk. It was centrally located and we were able to see and do everything we had hoped to fit it while visiting the OBX.

Perfect family space

We were truly impressed with how well cared for and how well stocked this house was with everything we needed during our stay. We reached out to the owner upon our arrival to let her know about a very minor issue and she was quick to follow up with a phone call to ensure that we were happy with the property. The location was great, just a short walk to the beach access and right next to the community pool.

Great Location

This was a good unit to rent! Partial view of the ocean and very quick one minute walk to the beach. Pool and amenities were nice as well. There are a few great restaurants and bars in walking distance and all others were a really short drive away! Communication with the property owner was excellent!

Wonderful condo with amenities for the whole family.

This is a wonderful condo with amenities for the whole family. There is a beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony. It is quiet and overlooks the pool and tennis court. The location is excellent. The owners were very responsive and easy to work with. We hope to stay here again in the future. I highly recommend this property.

Nice updated unit. Actually, the first unit we rented in the Sea Dunes complex back in 1992. As with so many vacation rentals, cleanliness of the unit was lacking. We spent two hours cleaning all surfaces and vacuuming sand, etc. Not just the visual of dirt on the surfaces, but our cleaning clothes showed and the vacuum cleaner showed the evidence of the lack of attention. Even with this inconvenience, we enjoyed our stay, just as we have in other units in this complex over the past thirty years. We do appreciate owners sharing their property with renters.

Nice Condo in Great Location

Our stay at Sea Dune condos was great. This very modern condo was very clean and comfortable. Nice deck with a partial viiew of the ocean. Location is close to the beach and a clean bathhouse with restrooms. There is also is a pool with a hot tub if you skip the beach.

This location met all of our needs! Location is convenient to local sites in either direction— restaurants, grocery, attractions, beach, etc. Close access to the pool.
