Overnight Stay

When we checked in, it was not bad. Receptionist was quick. As we entered the room, it had a awful odor and felt muggy. We change the AC settings and it still had that awful odor lingering the whole stay. I checked the bedding and there wasn't anything concerning, but when sleeping it was very itchy. Bathroom and toilet were still dirty. I wish I had taken pictures. Breakfast was okay. Toasters were not working. I would not recommend staying.

Nice comfortable room

Nice, comfortable stay for football game. Too bad the prices skyrocketed for the rest of the season. We live close enough that we’ll be driving up and back on game day. Staff was pleasant. Room was clean and quiet.

This property offers a nice area for your dog to walk around. It was quiet when we were there. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only recommendation would be to get a different type of scrambled eggs, instead of the egg patties.

Worst LaQuinta Hotel Ever - Powell, TN (I -75 N )

I booked a king suite for 3 people and 2 pets, when we arrived we were told that we booked a king suite for one person and no pets and there was not a pet friendly king suite available. I don't know if Hotels.com or LaQuinta messed up?but the only room available was a two queen bed suite to accommodate my family of 3 people and 2 dogs. We were understandably upset by this after being in the car for eleven hours and the clerk threatened not to give us a room at all if we were going to be upset. Anyways, I calmed the clerk back down and we took the queen suite. The lobby of the hotel looked nice enough but the hallway smelled like smoke and the room smelled strongly of mold or mildew and was extremely damp to the point of clothes feeling wet in the morning. Also the air conditioner never shut off and made an awful noise all night. We choose LaQuinta because they are usially very nice hotels that accept our 2 larger dogs and have king suites that allow for privacy for our family while still being together. We will try LaQuinta again, but we defi itely will not be staying at the LaQuinta in Powell, TN ever again. The LaQuinta in Chattanooga,TN on the 1st leg of our vacation was worlds better than the one in Powell, TN on our return trip - do not stay at the LaQuinta in Powell, TN!

Room definitely needs an upgrade. Sheets were old and scratchy and the material of the comforter was balled up around the edges. The room floors had not been cleaned for a long time and our socks and feet were filthy. There was no fruit during breakfast, and the coffee tasted like it was watered down.
