Waves & Whales is a recently 3-bedroom, 2-bath luxury apartment with panoramic sea views of the Indian Ocean in the seaside village of Brenton-on-Sea, Knysna. Thoughtfully themed bedrooms, each furnished for supreme comfort, luxury bathrooms, open-plan kitchen, elegant dining space and a spacious relaxed lounge create coastal bliss. Enjoy sunset braais and sundowners on the private patio, cool dips in the complex sparkling pool and the convenience of secure parking and laundry amenities on site.

Waves & Whales offers a serene coastal retreat with three uniquely themed bedrooms inspired by local whale species, designed for comfort and relaxation. The guesthouse blends sea-inspired aesthetics with practical amenities to create a welcoming environment for families and travelers alike. Distinctive whale-themed bedrooms: The accommodation features:
Humpback Room with a king-size bed and private en-suite, the
Southern Right Room with a queen-size bed and access to a shared bathroom, and
Bryde’s Room with twin beds ideal for friends or younger guests. Each room includes allergen-free Egyptian cotton linens, plush blankets, bathrobes, hairdryers, and hot water bottles for added comfort.

Comfort-focused bathroom amenities: There are two bathrooms, one private en-suite with a bath and shower for the Humpback Room, and a shared bathroom with a walk-in shower for the Southern Right and Bryde’s Rooms. Both bathrooms are equipped with luxury bath sheets and curated bath amenities to enhance the spa-like experience.

Family-friendly and cozy atmosphere: Guests can enjoy a mini library and gourmet coffee in their rooms while listening to the sea, and children have access to a collection of games and activities to inspire imaginative play regardless of weather conditions. The design emphasizes harmony, ease, and a tranquil coastal ambiance.

Apart from the luxury bedrooms and bathrooms, Waves & Whales offers a comprehensive range of facilities designed to create a comfortable and enjoyable holiday experience, blending relaxation with convenience in a coastal setting.

Comfortable lounge and entertainment: The lounge and dining area features a plush couch, soft ottomans, and a large smart TV with access to DStv, Netflix, Disney Channel, and Spotify, complemented by fast internet for seamless streaming and virtual activities.

Fully equipped kitchen: The kitchen includes a gas stove, air fryer, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, blenders, and a spice rack, along with all necessary cookware and utensils to support diverse cooking and baking needs.

Outdoor patio and laundry amenities: The patio offers a Weber braai for barbecues, comfortable loungers, and an umbrella for shade, while the laundry room is equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer, and washing lines to keep beachwear fresh.

Garage with beach essentials: The garage contains an extra fridge and deep freezer, plus a “beach cupboard” stocked with fold-out chairs, an umbrella, towels, and beach toys to enhance seaside enjoyment.

There is also a complex pool for your enjoyment!
Other things to note
Strictly no pets allowed. As much as we adore furry friends, we’re unable to accommodate them in the apartment.

The apartment is accessed by stairs, and regretfully, it’s not wheelchair friendly. We truly wish we could welcome everyone, but the layout makes step-free access impossible.

An armed alarm system is installed and can be activated during your stay, completely optional and easy to use. We’ll show you how at check-in.
A lockable safe is available in the main bedroom’s dressing room for valuables.

Thoughtful touches have been added throughout to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Enjoy plush linens, complimentary teas and coffees, and curated books and games for those relaxing evenings indoors.
