In the heart of Kobe

Even though very close to busy Sannomiya stations the room was quiet and peaceful. Staff were very Although showing signs of age, the room also was comfortable and had everything I needed. The only negative is that the bed was a little firm for my liking. Still, I slept well. When next in Kobe, I think this hotel is where I'll stay.

Toyoko-in around Kobe is not easy to find, but nevertheless navigated with Google maps. Hotel-wise, as with the hotel chain itself, is a standard room with free breakfast. Very satisfied.

Not very understanding staff at the reception, and even though rooms were ready, they refused to let me check in before 16:00. After travelling from Europe for more than 30 hours, it was very inconvenient to not have a place to rest once arriving (they would let me check-in after 15:00 for additional payment. Moreover, guests are not allowed to stay in their rooms between 10:00 and 15:00 every day. Would not recommend this to anyone, unless you only need a place to stay one night and arrives after 16:00.

Good no-fill place to stay, provides everything you need. 5 min Sannomiya Station. Breakfast is mostly Japanese. Room is small as expected but not unusual for Japanese hotel. Staff is polite and helpful (frankly as good as some 5 star hotel i have stayed)

Nice hotel close to transport and town centre. Rooms were on the smaller side. You have to get amenities yourself from downstairs. Breakfast included but very small selection of mainly Japanese fare.
