Yesterday SPEACHLESS Well, there are practically no words to describe the Anavana beach resort. The stuff was beyond respectful, kind and ready to make every second of your stay magical. My wife had her birthday while we had our stay in Anavana and the way the stuff treated her was beyond my expectations! The moment you pass the reception you are welcome in an amazing jungle. The bungalows are scattered in the area of the resort and in between is an amazing jungle with ponds with huge koi fishes. The atmosphere is something you will never expect and then there is the amazing beach right in front of the resort. Really quiet place where you can relax and enjoy every second of your stay in the resort. They also have daily programs with evening events like fire shows, Thai dancing etc. We even had a one hour Thai lesson where we were introduced to the Thai language. To us the island and the resort are magical but what stands out are the locals and the resort stuff. We fell in love with their kindness and how warmly welcomed we felt there. My wife made the comment that she felt like we stayed with a very caring family instead of a typical resort. The moment I heard it I realised that this explanation was the missing part of why I was feeling the way I did the entire time at the resort. We recommend the Anavana beach resort without any hesitation and we are ABSOLUTELY going back to the Anavana as soon as we can! You will never regret staying at the resort!

An oasis of a resort. The nature is beautiful and the attention to detail is outstanding. We stayed here for 2 weeks and had a wonderful time. The staff are excellent and very friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The sea was very changeable and is dependant on the weather. It can be completely calm, clear and turquoise one day and the next day it can be very rough with large waves. I would definitely recommend this resort. 10/10

This place is a little slice of heaven on the Koh Samui Beach. The bungalows are excellent with very comfortable beds.The bathrooms are unique, stylish, and all amenities. The on property restaurant serves amazing foods of both Asian and western influence with an amazing breakfast. Then there is the spa that has amazing massage therapists. I'd swear thwy have magical hands! Nataya is the absolute best! There is a slight language barrier, but Google Translate is your friend. Overall amazing and we already have plans to return next year!

The best!!!

It is an amazing place. So well done in the middle of the chaos of Koi Samui. The beach is perfect. The pool wonderful. The staff is fantastic. The restaurant is perfect. The breakfast buffet was bountiful. The room was the best. Great shower and bathroom. Book it!!! If only it wasn’t half a world away, I go there over and over again.

I really enjoyed my stay here for the most part. The hotel has lovely grounds with private bungalows and it's right on the beach. There's everything you need outside on the main street: restaurants, bars, massage shops, 7/11, ATM, pharmacy etc and the daily night market is walkable or just a short ride away. Friendly and helpful staff especially at reception and in the restaurant (Lek in particular). I had several massages at the hotel spa - the first one was terrible and actually injured my back (the worst in 30 years or getting massages) but all the rest were with Nattaya who was excellent. The main gripe I have is on the cleanliness of the beach. Chaweng beach is lovely with soft sand and clear water but if it's a bit rough overnight then a lot of rubbish/plastic washes up on the beach. This is not the fault of the hotel, of course, but they were slow, reluctant even, to clean it up. I was at breakfast every day by 7am (good Thai choices btw) and the beach guy at the next hotel was already cleaning up and putting out the sunbeds for guests. Not so at this hotel to the extent that I and other guests cleared the rubbish ourselves one day, and the following day when I asked the beach guy here if he was going to clear the rubbish he said 'maybe this afternoon'. I complained to Lek and lo and behold a short while later the beach was cleaned, it took them about 20 mins to do it. It was a mystery to me that the beach team here didn't look after it better.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at Anavana Hotel on our way back to Singapore from Koh Phangan. This beautiful beachfront property is surrounded by lush gardens, and the traditional bungalows are charming and well-maintained, offering a cozy and authentic experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making our short stay more enjoyable. We especially loved the delicious margaritas and the relaxing massage place just across the street—a perfect way to unwind. Breakfast was okay (French toast/pancakes weren’t great), and could have included more variety of food options. FYI there were quite a few mosquitoes, so we were constantly spraying ourselves with insect repellent. Other feedback would be to help guests rent scooter bikes, so they don’t have to lend their passports to dodgy scooter companies on the street. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would recommend Anavana to anyone looking for a relaxing beachfront escape in Chaweng beach.

Really lovely stay. We relaxed in this little oasis for 7 days during Christmas and we really had a great time. The little bungalow are very spacious. Bathroom is amazing. Bed super confortable. We rented scooters across the road as soon as we arrive to have complete freeedom. The restaurant was super good and breakfast was perfect. Great omelette..:) I think the private beach is one of the nicest with natural shadow from the trees. What is amazing is how close you are from the Main Street for dinner, shopping and massage and you can’t hear anything at all. I wanted to be not too far from the activities and also a bit further away to relax and I am glad I stayed there. Finally the team working here is just amazing and the night they organised for Christmas Eve was really outstanding. Overall I enjoyed my stay a lot..:) Thank you everyone

Our stay at Anavana was lovely. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. There were also a few activities on at the hotel that were free to participate in. A few cultural dances, mini cooking class and krathong making which we really enjoyed. It was lovely to get involved in the culture. We would definitely recommend a stay at Anavana

What was not to like? One of if not the best on Chaweng or Koh Samui. I read hundreds of reviews of hotels with 5 stars which were poor. This hotel is not one of those. It is brilliant. Great staff, great rooms, brilliant location and at the best beach. Rooms are spacious, Spa brilliant, food very good with enough breakfast options, happy hour with Pong, lovely beach with comfy beds, staff are fantastic. It is not 5 star but it packs a lot of punch. We as a family loved it and we were sceptical prior. Go on and book this.

A wonderful small resort in Chaweng. Very nice spacious rooms, private beach, amazing(!) service, great breakfast and nice bar. Nearby: Very good local restaurants serving real Thai food, massage shops, fruit shop, 7 Eleven. Located on the quite part of Chaeng and only 7 minutes by Songthaew from the shopping center. We will be back.

We had a wonderful stay at Anavana. Every detail was perfect. Our cottage with an ocean view, was spacious and just right for 3 of us-- a couple with 20 year old son. The food was delicious, the staff was amazing, the beach was gorgeous. I highly recommend the resort and would definitely stay here again.
