The Rock was a beautiful place. Staff was amazing and the place itself is beautiful. We stayed in the ocean front villa, which is actually three separate “rooms”. A kitchen - stove, fridge, toaster and toaster oven, kettle, etc, with place to sit to eat and a toilet. Then two separate suites for sleeping etc. We were two couples, so perfect for us.
Pool is amazing and there’s a nice shady room right off the pool to get out of the sun.
Beach is pretty, but not a swimming beach. When the tide is very high you could get in, but otherwise, too shallow and coral right off shore.
This place is walkable to Lamai beach, but it’s about 20 minutes, about ten minutes along a very busy road. You can’t get to Lamai by walking on the beach (big rocks in the way). There are a few restaurants in the other direction, but again, you’re walking along a busy road.
The Rock itself serves breakfast and lunch. Their kitchen closes at 4pm. A small breakfast was included with our room, which was a beautiful cappuccino and two small, delicious waffles, all delivered to our kitchen.
The staff at the Rock is exceptional, and accommodated us wonderfully. They helped us arrange massages in our rooms, and guided us to finding restaurants, etc. Our flight was in the evening, well after checkout, but we were able to stay in the poolside room all day.
