The chef(s) in your group will love the well-equipped kitchen and may even want to explore one of Kauai’s Farmer’s Markets for fresh local produce to incorporate into their tropical culinary creations. Step outside and enjoy the tropical breezes and sweet scents from the multiple seating and dining areas on the expansive wrap-around lanai, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean, mountains, and coastline.

Located at the highest point in Poipu, atop the rim of an extinct crater, Hale Hapuna offers unparalleled views of the Poipu Resort area. Though it may be hard to leave this stunning home, you are within walking distance to three of Kauai's finest beaches: Shipwreck Beach (perfect for experienced swimmers and surfers), Brennecke Beach, and Poipu Beach Park.

The four-bedroom main house is spread across two levels. The first floor features two master bedrooms, each with a king bed, and two large guest rooms, each with one king bed and one bunk bed (1 full & 1 twin bed). The second floor houses the kitchen, dining area, living room, and a large wrap-around lanai with spectacular vistas to the north, east, and west. For extra privacy and comfort, the fully detached 1,000-square-foot guest cottage is just a few steps away. It offers two additional bedrooms with a kitchen and living room area, accommodating up to 4 guests. This guest cottage is included in the 6-bedroom rate, providing even more space for your group.

We had a wonderful stay at Hale Hapuna during the New Years. The home truly lives up to its name—the ocean and mountain views are outstanding, especially at sunrise and sunset. It was the perfect place to relax and take in the beauty of Poipu.One thing we especially appreciated was how well set up the house was for beach days. There was plenty of snorkeling gear, beach umbrellas, beach towels, boogie boards, and beach chairs, with enough chairs for our entire group. Having all of this available made our time at the beach incredibly easy and enjoyable. The nearby beaches were fantastic for swimming and snorkeling, and watching the turtles especially at Brennecke's Beach. The sunrises were amazing at the Lava Arch just around the corner. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a great layout for a larger group. It felt peaceful and private while still being close to beaches, restaurants, and shops. Communication with the host was excellent, and check-in was smooth.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Hale Hapuna to anyone looking for a memorable Kauai stay with incredible views and great beach amenities.

Great location. House accommodated all of us with room to spread out. Upstairs livingroom and lanai views were incredible. Perfect home base for a large group in Kaua’i

My family absolutely loved staying at Hale Hapuna! It was centrally located, so that we could take a leisurely walk to Poipu Beach. The home was very spacious, and we appreciated that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Mostly, though, we loved taking in the view and island breezes from the second floor!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Hale Hapuna. There were 15 of us and there was something for everyone, from the 3 year olds to the 70 year olds. It was a perfect vacation. Everyone enjoyed the walkable beaches, the beautiful views and the spacious living areas. We would definitely do it all over again!

Great house for large families

We had a large group at the house and it was perfect for our needs. Plenty of room to mingle or spread out. The kitchen was great and two dishwashers really helped. Lots of great beach gear including towels, umbrellas, boogie board and snorkel gear came in handy. Would definitely recommend this house and hope to come back soon.
