Have been coming here for many years even before it was warwick. Have always loved the place and truley enjoyed the relaxation that comes with it. Have made friends with many of the staff over the years.
Last year hotel quailty had dropped with 1 of our guests getting food poisoning from the hotel breakfast.
This year was a nightmare. Contacting the reservation team before arrival was terrible as they refused to reply to expedias email or phone calls. I was forced to call internationally due to weather delays so that they wouldnt cancel the entire trip. Booking extensions became horrendous, even when we werent asking for any refunds for the 3 days we were delayed. They ended up charging us the price for 4 additional nights for only 2 more.
We spent one day in the room waiting for management to contact us about the change with no contact at all, (after we had been asked to wait for their phone call).
The hotel staff suggested we fraudulently contact our travel insurance for the rest of the money. When this was pointed out the guest relations manager (who had been ignoring us) Mereisi Makutu (who to begin with would not tell us her name or provide her business card) became aggressive & assaulted me, which lead to hours at the local police station and hotel staff scrabmling to delete their security footage.
The breakfast buffet has declined dramatically in quantity. Broken equipment not replaced and most food already spoilt. The wicked walu was the highlihighligh of the stay
